Over 5 years later... and your video is still awesome. Wife was searching online for a new dryer... and I was searching online for the old manual to compare with newer models and this video popped up. So instead of a new dryer... I tightened the baffle screws and we are drying again! Thanks for taking the time to post. Straight forward and an EZ fix!

Even after a couple years of you posting that online it's still a big help.. my wife and I experienced that funny noise tonight so I immediately checked online and found your video.. bolt was halfway out but I caught it in time as well as tighten up all the other baffles simple fix in 5 minutes.. appreciate it!!!

Mine were broke. Just drilled deeper added washer and 3 inch #8 screws from hardware store. Worked god. Will try to send back bew ones i ordered. My bulb blew when baffle fell off though.

Excellent video it helps out a ton. One thing you should do is check the other bolts that hold the baffle since you already have it apart

Really useful. Thanks. One thing I was wondering. If you were to tip the dryer sideways could you access the screws for the baffle from the underside of the dryer? Or is that access blocked?

Don't forget to unplug your dryer first

So awesome, thank you so much! Knocked this out in under a half hour and the bolts were just loose and still in place. One gotcha: the hooks that hold the top down can be flipped, make sure you get them back in the same direction they came out as, look for the wear pattern from the 5/16" screw that's coming out.

Loved ur video, but I do have a question please. I have an electric Maytag dependable care dryer(used) with the filter is hat pulls out of the top. The drum is metal with transparent plastic baffles that are FULL of lint. Can I remove them clean out the lint and put them back on using the same instructions on it video - even though it's made a little different than this one? Any advice u can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Remind everyone they might as well clean out the insides of the dryer with a shop vac while they have it apart.
