Mine just started making that noise on my 2008 Mazda 5 and broke the belt what I figured out after 3 of them they don’t last long if there cheap brands they lock up plus I have 312,xxx miles original , so just gonna buy 2 new ones and a couple of clutch kits and good to go again no biggy just another reason to do some mechanics 💪

Background info: AC Belt previously snapped so I just replaced it with a new belt. It didn’t make any noise before the AC belt snap. Since it makes no noise when the clutch is not engaged I don’t think it’s a bearing. So I believe I either need a new clutch or to replace the whole compressor. Trying to figure out which one to do

Same happening now on my car. What is the exact issue on this?

Might need a new clutch it’s engaging properly. But the noise is only there when engaged. My suv does a similar thing but mine is now stuck engaged I need to replace soon.

I’ve chosen just to live with it. I’m still getting cold air at the moment. The car isn’t worth the money required to replace it

I have this ticking noise only when I turn on the ac. And after a while it disappears. I have the Mazda 2 demio

@@vincentstohr2216me too, the sound stays on while you are stopped, but when you press the petrol pedal it stops. A mechanic said I need to change the compressor, but still I will visit some other mechanics

@@13Iyad I have the same problem for 3 years already. If the car is idling the ticking starts but if I press the pedal it stops. I have never changed anything. The compressor is still cold and has no other problems. I’m not going to replace it anytime soon. The mechanic told me 3 years ago to change the compressor but I didn’t and now it is still working fine besides the noise. My mechanic told me that there is metal shrapnel in the compressor thus creating the sound.
