NMIMS and SIBM are doing much better in placements as compared to other tier 2 colleges like IMT, IMI, GIM, XIMB, GL and most of the new and baby IIMs.

Don't worry guys even Tier-1 college people miss out on somethings from Tier-2 colleges. So grass is not always green on the other side.

Few investment banking profiles have started coming to New IIMs also ( like in IIM Raipur). But yes the opportunities are still lesser than the old IIMs.

I think tier 2 is a broad term and you should not give a general advice for all the colleges. NMIMS ,SIBM , IIM U are way above colleges like Tapmi or IMI so all shouldn't be considered in one range.

I took several exams including CAT, XAT, SNAP, and NMAT, and though I got marks in the 60s and 70s on all of them, I scored a 227 on the NMAT and got accepted into TAPMI. I'm a non-engineering female, and my scores for 10th, 12th, and undergraduate studies were 85, 87, and 75, respectively. I have no work experience and am currently in my third year of undergraduate studies. What do you think? Should I take a break or go to TAPMI?

I had the potential to score 97%ile+ in cat but because of serious health of my family member and I, I was not able to study properly and I am about to take admission in a tier 2 college now which has an avg package of 12LPA. I think tier 2 colleges are more broader they consist so many colleges So i think it should be segregated as upper tier2 and lower tier 2 colleges

There is nothing in black and white. IIM Calcutta students, i know, doing MIM from a German University, some opted for PhD outside. A lot of grey area post MBA. Corporate life is not the be all and end all. Relatively speaking MBA should only be done from top notch universities abroad

I am a general category student with 10,12 and grad scores of 94,94 and 82. I scored 89 in CAT 23 and converted TAPMI. I graduated in 2022 so reattempting CAT is a no go for me. Hi Abhishek, I have cracked IMT-G Core and will take Finance as my Specialization. My XIMB-BM Interview also went Great and hence expecting to convert it as well. Which one should I choose??. The thing is that XIBM shows its median package as 19L and for IMT its 16.3L, but I noticed that better Finance companies are coming at IMT as compared to XIMB, also XIMB is infamous for inflating placements.
