If I know Konami like I know Konami, they wouldn’t put in pre errata effects and they wouldn’t add back priority. But even still it can be a fun format.

Having retro formats in yugioh MD would add alot of replayability for me. Make it happen konami.

I don't even care for priority like back them. Some of those were really broken But i would love if they implement tournaments with pre-errata cards

They really should have something for people who don't like the current format so they can stay in the game. Because without it people will just quit when they've had enough of the meta decks. Plus it would mean the many cards that never see play anymore can have some use.

To be fair, Goyo should have required non-generic material all along. We already had a generic level-6 Synchro with Gaia Knight, the Force of the Earth and Goyo had an amazing effect _as well as_ 200 more ATK (and 1200 more DEF). This completely broke the game design which so far had vanillas given higher stats in exchange for having no effect. It's as if Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon had had, say, 3100 ATK on top of its unerratad effect making it the strongest among all Normal and Effect monsters for quite some time (maybe even until Ultimate Conductor Tyranno came out). It just didn't make any sense for Goyo Guardian to be the strongest level-6 Synchro.

Some sims have a setting to automatically add a random delay to most/every chain or response window to prevent this exact scenario, but I think people don't know to look for it

That's how overwhelmingly powerful Gorz was back in the day. It gave you two bodies, one of which was 2700, which is very large, so that you had no choice but to play around it. Life points don't matter near as much as board state does, and Gorz was a great way for establishing a state that could turn a game around instantly. If you are not going to kill your opponent immediately, there is no reason to give them Gorz and the token. That was his thinking.

@@johnryanjosey6368 Yep, it's like risk and reward thing, if he can afford to take the risk he would attack, for example if he had an Honest in hand, he wouldn't be scared of Gorz as much.

you need some kind of answer for gorz, like battle traps or removals in mp2 otherwise you almost always lose a card from gorz attack. Moreover it's a free SS for opponent to do things.

That sounds like a worse version of progression tbh
