The MCAT is one of the most important exams that any doctor will ever need to take in their entire life - especially since in many cases, you never get to graduate from pre med to medical student without a top MCAT score. In today's video, I'll be sharing what I've learned from my experiences with the USMLE exams (step 1, step 2, step 3) as well as the Canadian LMCC / MCCQUE exam and coupling it with my previous knowledge of being a top MCAT scorer to present what I believe to be the optimal MCAT study schedule for anyone looking for a great score - 520+

Hi Gianluca, your videos helped me understand my daughter's journey to med school. I could advise and support her when needed, all because of your videos. I started following your channel when she was in the undergrad program, and now she is in med school. You answered my question three years ago regarding the MCAT score. I can't thank you enough for making videos for the students who are pursuing to med schools. Keep up the good work!

This is amazing to hear - thank you so much for checking back with this :) I'm really glad that she was able to get in and I hope that she has been enjoying medical school so much. With a parent like you, I'm sure that she will do well 😎 Wish her the best of luck from me and all the best

You’re welcome :) yes the schedule does work for non trads, however in my experience 3 and a half - 4 months is a better time line so just extend as you need to. You’ll have a better idea once you write your first full length MCAT after step 0 and the first week of studying Best of luck with it!

Hello and thank you for your response Dr. C, I really appreciate it :) 1. Do you have the KrackU topics checklist that you can post as well ? 2. As a native born English speaker (born and raised in Canada), is it possible to consistenly practice CARS passages and not score well ? Also, what should I do if I run out of CARS passages to practice on ??? Thank you very much

No worries Herman 🤙 1) unfortunately I can’t post the KrackU one as it’s a paid resource - but the AAMC list is freely accessible. Alternatively, you can sign up for the KrackU free trial and see it there 2) it’s always possible to not score well - even if you’re a native English speaker. You can be doing well in practice tests and just be off on test day as well. Your goal over 3 months is to improve your CARS consistency. Please refer to my linked cars study guide if you’d like to know about my study plan. All the best

Do you believe that anyone can score in the top percentile for the CARS section if reading isn't exactly their forte ??? Thanks !

I think that CARS is definitely harder for anyone taking the MCAT in a language that is non-native to them. The important thing to consider here is that you will get better with consistent practice and time spent 🔥however, when I designed my plan with the 3 month time frame, I did make the assumption that reading and comprehension skills were "average" for a premed level. If this is more difficult for you, then you could always expand your time frame to reflect the rate that you're improving. All the best with your prep :)
