I got into Howard, Ohio Heritage of Osteopathic medicine, Lilcoln memorial, Morehouse, NSU in Florida

@@_Theo215 so I graduated from VCU with a 3.9 HPEX and chemistry / and 3.9 science gpa and shadowed a pediatrician and cardiologist for total of maybe 350 hours(anything above 200 I was told is good) - I was a TA for 2 years - did volunteer work which was about 300 hours(again anything above 200 seems good, and I was a tutor and did this program where we sent supplies to Syria) - I was counselor for crisis text line which was online - I scribed for a year and was a DME worker at an orthopedics office.( you want something where you interact directly with patients and scribe is simple and perfect, but there are other things like emt, CNA, phlebotomist medical assistant etc.) -mcat was a 496, but I'd at least try to get a 500. - for me I applied late around near September which is silly don't do that. But I went to open houses cause I was very interested in Howard morehouse etc and spoke with admissions and did visits. They saw my face and didn't know exactly who I was but knew of me as that guy who emailed a lot and went to open houses. That's what did it for me. The schools that I reached out too I got noticed but for other schools I got straight denied. So I'd say reaching out and writing letters is what did it for me and it was extra work but definitely worth it. If you want my contact lmk cause I can tell you as not so high my mcat score was I'm doing very good In medical school and so are many others who didn't do well on mcat I know Alhamdulilahi Rabbi La'alameen

A lot of medical schools (I think almost all actually) require the completion of a bachelors degree along with the prerequisite classes

Get a bachelor's in biology to help you with the MCAT. Pursue a bachelor's of arts in biology. A BSN will not help you much for the mcat. I am an ICU RN, BSN myself. I went back to get my second bachelor's of arts in Biology. It won't take you more than 2 years to complete. You got this!!

It’s solid depends on the school top tier university (which are overhyped IMO) prob not low -mid tier MD schools and DO schools good

@@torresthemonsterNEET is pure memory based, MCAT is logical/application based and tests variety of subjects compared to NEET. MCAT is 7.5 hrs and NEET is 3.5 hrs. MCAT >>> NEET difficulty.

Wow! Thank God for “black privilege” on the application. We literally live in a world where white privilege runs rampant in every single space, especially the education system. Black people are working twice as hard to get into the spaces we deserve to be in. 🙂

A 507 is well within the 70th percentile of all test takers it is absolutely not closing doors for entrance into medical school for anyone.
