In this video am putting the McCormick B46 baler back together from the disaster that I had when the plunger knife stuck in the knife that is on the wall of the baler.
I had some struggling first from the beginning when I was putting the plunger back in to the chamber and then on to the liners. The assembly went pretty well with no meager problems it is good to replace old bolts and nuts with the new.
The knife for the side wall is home made for now because the previous one was stuck with the plunger knife and it break -crack down the middle so I will give someone to repair it and have as an replacement.

Is there also wood at the bottom of the plunger?

As i remember ther is not.. ther are just metal plates so the plunger can slide

Do i have to remove the knotters?

If you wanna take the plunger out or in, the knotters are not in thge way but eaverithing eals is hay dogs and other metal things in the chaimber that prevents hay to going out. Plunger need free chamber or it will stuck, i learn on hard way,... you will also need to remouve side knife that is bolt it on frame of the baller.
