So I remember when I worked there, you used to pull the wrapper out, place the sandwich on it, fold the bottom over, then the top over the bottom, then make little triangular flaps on the side and fold those under over each other. That was when then made the sandwiches and kept them in their warmer for 10 minutes. They also used to make sandwiches that had lettuce on them like Big Macs, McChickens, Grilled Chickens, Daily Double with a paper ring that you would place around the sandwich so the lettuce would stay on your sandwich before you take it home and unwrap it 😊

I mean.. the camera won't be rolling if there isn't action, so naturally product will be replaced when the camera is rolling, because it's a rush. It's coincidence, not correllation. In non-rush times, the shelves, fries etc still have their associated "hold time" timers, which is the buttons that they press every time they put in a fresh load, and they chuck the product out if there are no takers (at least that's the plan) and prepare a new batch with a new shelf life.

As someone who used to work a support desk they now supervise, I will always recommend to anyone to keep dipping into the job you used to do at the level you started if you're now managing that role. My biggest worry when I made supervisor was that I'd lose touch with the job my team was doing. I make it a point that I'll still jump in to do role I used to do to not only help my team but to keep in the loop of what they're going through on the daily and understand how it's changed from what it was like when I did it to now and how that can effect them. Getting stuck in is not only an amazing feeling but it helps build a respect and understanding with those you over see and manage, and allows you to appreciate things from their perspective.

It is interesting to see how McDonald's works in another country, and what are the differences, either in the procedure, the menu or the equipment. Memorizing the process for each sandwich.. breakfast and lunch/dinner.. it seems that certain things have color coded trays for quick grabbing of items to make the sandwiches. My self-negativity was getting to me, and while I didn't take it out on my coworkers, it was showing in my work flow, and to customers too. Dgaf in the moment, but embarrassing to me now the more I mull on it. Def wish more leads and bosses were like you, no matter the job field. Damn, the American breakfast menu is so much broader than what we have in the UK - I'm jealous. Here we pretty much only have sausage Mc Muffin or some similar variations of it with/without egg ect.

I gotta know what's in the sauce for the bagel sandwiches. It's so good. I'm also still very bothered by the single strip of bacon on a sandwich. Bump that to two, Stephen!
