Im suprised they didnt sell "moco loco" at the mcdonals there. What you had was simular to it thought. Adding the soy probly was what made your rice saltier. Did you have a chance to have "loco moco" or do a "loco moco" challenge? Happy new year raina hun !!

When I lived in Lahaina Maui I worked for Lahaina carpet as a driver so I would have drive all over the island I would get that breakfast 3 days a week for a couple of years no I live in Oregon I miss it

Happy New Year Raina! I don't want to scare you but I do believe the food in general in Hawaii tends to be higher in calories than the rest of the U.S (with regards to the traditional Hawaiian dishes) so there is a bag chance that you will indeed gain weight while being there.. In any case just enjoy it as much as possible and once you're back in Cali you can for sure manage to lose all the extra weight back

Yeah, the kalua pork items are not regular menu items. They only have it at certain times of the year…why, I have no idea but I hope you’re here the next time they do!

What a way to multitask. I'd at least try that tho, I've had spam before, isn't so bad. Seeing how those plates look, I think you can do 10. The rice will probably get you but I've seen you do some crazy challenges & win them. Aw you couldn't eat the whole pie in one take, you're slacking on the skills 😂. Well I'm glad the weather is decent there but I'm ok with the changes every year, couldn't do the same weather & temps all year. wow you walked from Kamehameha Shopping Center's McD to Taco Bell/Pizza Hut Makiki on South Beretania St. Google Streeview walk says it's about 3.2 miles and over an hour's walk...geez !

You needed a spoon for that. You were really struggling with the rice using that tiny fork. I was thinking, you should carry your own serving size spoon, fork and knife to do challenges with.

McDonald’s in Hawaii carters to Polynesian people and Rice is a staple of us Polynesian people. McDonald’s pies are Deepfried only hawaii McDonald’s will do that not in the Mainland. Local girl born and raised now live in AZ

Mc Donald's has been making local quisene for years now. In 2000,I had that breakfast there. They also served dynowings as well. Dont forget the Hawaiian burger as part of their dollar menu. Tacobell in Maui freaked me out... There was a large COCKROACH walking by the beans and it was the same color as the beans. Yuck... it wasn't their fault. It's the island. People are always fighting the bugs. Good luck with your trip.
