It is extremely important to create jobs for a country's economy, in case you don't know
@yurab18343 ай бұрын
It's not really that complicated. Self-ordering stations maximize user-friendliness, employee PoS machines maximize speed. Sure, there are other UX issues here (like mixing buttons for adding items with buttons for modifying existing items, or some menus being seemingly randomly arranged), but the main point is that everything is presented all at once - it's unintuitive for someone looking at it for the first time, but an employee that does this for 8 hours a day can punch out everything in seconds, without having to move between nested tabs of meal categories and going through 3 confirmation prompts.

Is it cheaper that way?
@KatieT977 ай бұрын
@@lIII0IIIla meal is typically more bang for your buck if you want everything included (basically discounts everything by like 50 cents per item or so) but yes it is usually still cheaper to leave off the fries or drink. However you don’t really call it a meal if you don’t want the drink, because saying meal or combo implies that you want everything included. Just saying something like “I’ll have a burger with just a side of fries” suffices, I may clarify if you want a beverage but I’d still know that you probably don’t.
@lIII0IIIl7 ай бұрын
@@KatieT97 Thank you for the info. I understand the concept of the “meal with no XX.” If there is no XX then it’s not a “meal.” I want to make it as easy as can be when I order. I know it varies by location, but I always order cheeseburgers, “No Pickle. No Onion.” If I don’t say it explicitly that way, I might get some onions or pickles. Just my experience. I’m trying to make it easier for everyone!! Thank you again for your reply!!

the self ordering kiosk is such a big help, it speeds up the process. the only slow point is in receiving because some customers don't get their tray of meals right away when called, causing the server to shout the number louder.
