The first one I got wasn't mine but was my dad's considering he's older than me. The box was in bad condition so he gave it to me. The figure(s) was the bride of chucky two pack from series 2 I still have it on my shelf next to the only other movie maniac I have which is ghostface.

Fun Fact: if you read "Slash of the Titans", you learn that this was actually meant to be a tie in figure for an unreleased Freddy vs Jason movie at the time. Even the mini Freddy was taken right from the script of the unmade movie, but it matched the Dream Warriors puppet Freddy enough that they left it in.

When I saw the Movie Maniacs figures for the first time, I was absolutely blown away! I was like Wowww!! This is not your kiddie action figure! So totally awesome. McFarlane was truly a pioneer of super detailed adult focused horror figures

This is a classic figure that is dated but still has a place on shelfs as Being a part of figure history. That poster base I've always liked especially that they used it with most of the figures in this line. Really enjoyed the story you have with this figure. The figure that got me into collecting again is the Crash Dummies Tyco toy line. Figures that got me into collecting horror is Neca Hellraiser line. My first ultimate was Freddy which got me into collecting Ultimates.

I owned a Movie Maniacs Jason when the line first came out like 20 years ago. I wanna say I got it at a Suncoast video store at my local mall. It was pretty groundbreaking at the time but figures today blow them away.

Despite the fact that this Freddy Krueger is a bit on the dated side, it still has some charm to it. It showcases one of McFarlane Toys' early releases when it comes to the Movie Maniacs line quite nicely. I really appreciate the fact that you shared the story that ties in with this figure. The first Freddy 7" figure I ever owned! But the first "action figure (doll) I owned was the Matchbox Maxfx Freddy Krueger!

The first Movie Maniac figure I bought was Series 1 Leatherface - the bloody variant. Had to get it on ebay because it was always sold out at the stores near me.

I heard mcfarlane toys are planning to make more movie maniacs and if this is true I hope he adds the huge adds they looked sooo cool. Later in the movie maniacs they started making the short display stands which weren't very good. I got this figure and most of the first figures from the first series wave

That's a terrible figure, the colour, everything is just way off. NECA make a much better one. The one out of the freddy vs Jason boxed set is absolutely top notch.
