Keep the nasal cannula on to help extend safe apneic period during intubation.

We absolutely do practice apneic oxygenation and teach keeping the cannula in place at flush rate throughout the DSI process. If it was removed during the video, that was a mistake - nice catch and thanks for watching.

Is it still okay to leave the NPA in until you know for sure you’re in the airway?

Absolutely, the patient is sedated so no harm leaving it in.
