Greetings! I came across your website via google. I am a 39 year old professional working as an online public speaking trainer. I am wanting to change the industry I am working in for better prospects. I am wanting to pursue an MBA from a recognized tier 1 university. I have a few questions: 1. Is it too late to pursue MBA or will it be negative [ have been told by many that MBA will shave off too much time and won't be rewarding] 2. I have a low GPA 3. I have not studied in the last decade. Will I be able to crack the GMAT via your program which starts on the 13th of January? 4. When will I be able to attend? I am attaching my resume for your reference. Also I will be taking your counseling for admissions and career understanding. Thankyou

The age and experience level does become a challenge after a certain threshold. Most who're in your age group who work with us target programs such as Sloan Fellows (at MIT, LBS) and Stanford MSx. Check those out to see if it aligns with your career plans. We don't offer test prep, so not sure which deadline you're referring to.

Hello, Mr. Sameer, does having managerial experience in public sector banks hold significance when applying to MBA programs abroad? Typically, individuals from India pursuing an MBA abroad often have backgrounds in the IT sector or engineering.
@MBACrystalBall
@MBACrystalBall 7 ай бұрын
It sure does. In fact, managerial experience is not very common among many applicants who work in IT. How many years of experience do you have? And what's your post-MBA goal?

Hello, My CGPA is 3.30 in BBA. Now is it going to be a problem to get a best business school for MBA and scholarship? Please 🥺 answer.

Low grades can be a disadvantage for top MBA programs. The lower ranking ones may be more forgiving. If you're serious about applying, focus on the other aspects that are still in your control.

Hi Team, I have a year of experience in Digital Marketing (SEM) Right now I'm looking for higher studies, but im confused on what specialization to go with, or whether to do MBA in digital marketing or MA digital and creative marketing. And which university to choose. I'm looking to study in South India (Chennai or Bangalore or Coimbatore). Please help me choose the right university and specialization. Thank you.

Our focus is on international MBA programs. For options in your target cities, we won't be the right team to help. You can check on sites that focus on Indian business schools.

Hi. I have recently heard that second mba from usa is quite difficult even for those applicants who have completed 1st mba in Tier 1 colleges in India. I understand you have entire videos on it, but my preliminary understanding (after asking others) is that HSW are very very reluctant to offer MBA to applicants who have completed an MBA/PGDM in India. Since you have been working with Indian applicants the most, what are your views on it?
@MBACrystalBall
@MBACrystalBall 7 ай бұрын
You are right. It is tougher for second MBA applicants than it is for first timers. Considering the additional time (2 yrs) they have spent in the classroom, they're older than regular applicants, but their experience is on the lower side. So post-MBA placements can also become tricky.

@@MBACrystalBallMy Point is it seems it's difficult more than those who may also spend 2 years after graduation. Think of MiM students, it doesn't seem that they have these problems....

We have a detailed video on how to improve your profile for MBA programs. Do check it out for some ideas on what you can do over the next few years. Seems like you've had a good break to start your career. Is it a role that you wanted? Do you see yourself staying with this company for several years?

@@MBACrystalBall I am glad to receive your reply so just coming out of college I am grateful for my current job as Product marketing engineer it demands technical skills with business and finance orientation. I do want to stay with company but that would restrict me to pursue a masters degree and also the current job skills would saturate over time so considering the risks of leaving my current stable job I would only pursue MBA which promises better ROI therefore I seek guidance which would help me analyse whether it’s even possible for me or not taking into account factors like I am from tier 2 university, financial resources etc. to study in top B schools
@MBACrystalBall
@MBACrystalBall 8 ай бұрын
Don't worry about saturation when you're just starting out. Even if it happens, you'd have gained a lot of valuable exposure to different aspects of business. That in turn will help you better understand your likes and dislikes, and subsequently how to make the best use of your next degree - whether it's an MS or MBA. Till then, try to excel in your current role and enjoy the ride.

This hypothesis tree is similar to null and alternate hypothesis?
@MBACrystalBall
@MBACrystalBall 8 ай бұрын
Great question! There are differences in where and how they are used. Null and alternative hypotheses are used by researchers to find out whether there is an effect (alternative) or no effect (null) on the population. The latter case is rejected. It's a statistical analysis approach with a more narrow and specialised application. In contrast, hypotheses tree framework (used in consulting) has a broader application geared towards complex problem solving by breaking it into smaller chunks that can be addressed.

Thanks for the suggestion. The topic is very interesting, but also quite niche. While it might not be a good fit for this channel, we covered it a few years back on our blog. See if there are aspects that interest you: www.mbacrystalball.com/blog/2017/03/27/social-impact-csr-careers-after-mba/

Thank you for the suggestion. Considering that the focus of this channel is primarily on masters degrees (that we help with), certifications such as CFA may not be a good fit for this channel.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, Japan isn't a very popular option for international MBA aspirants. We've covered many other countries that are preferred by global students.
