Loved the idea of pasting the PowerPoint outline titles into Word to validate your horizontal flow. The MECE exercise was golden!!

13:05 I can not follow the example here. Are you talking about a set of dices or one dice? If you're talking about one dice, one could define the space (Omega) {1,2,3,4,5,6} consisting out of subsets where you could define each number as a subset, which then are exclusive and exaustive. But note that subsets or spaces can not be independent. The realisation of an experiment is called event, i.e. the outcome of each rolling is called event (or as you said result). Several events can be independent from each other, which means experiment 1 can be independent of experiment 2. This I guess led to confusion, since Sebastian later again called sets (in this case selections of social media platforms) independent.

The MECE example you use is not correct because they are not mutually exclusive. They are not mutually exclusive because you can be, for example, a member of both facebook and youtube. To make it MECE you would need to restate your idea as, for example, social media platforms with over a billion users and who use it as their primary platform. Since you can only have 1 primary platform, they are now mutually exclusive.
