One of David Platt's best sermons. So needed in 2020.

Jesus is my savior, that what saves me. Making him my life is what I should strive to as a saved believer for the rest of my life. All the while knowing I never do that to God's standard.

Every time I listen to david platt I get so challenged. This man of God so speaks truth with Love and you cannot fail to feel challenged in your faith and your walk with God can you? Our churches so need more men like him. We are so grateful that we can access his talks on KZfaq. Social media can be such a blessing in this respect

My baptism was even more wonderful that the day I made a commitment to Christ, it is still so real for both myself and my husband as we got baptised in the sea together- September 5th 1993. I believe that was the day that my Faith became totally real for us. There is definitely a great blessing in making a public declaration, going down into the water dirty and coming up washed clean in Christ. Amazing

T Sammut I don’t understand how you come to this conclusion. He even says the only way to be saved is to trust in the work of Jesus- that we could never be good enough. (especially starting at 28 minutes, 25 seconds)

People in the time of the early church understood that baptism meant a change in allegiance and probable persecution. Today, people get baptized too readily without understanding the full implications, because it is not presented as a life and death, black and white matter. It's a commitment similar to the marriage commitment, and sadly, I have seen so many people baptized who don't have the radical change of heart necessary, and who fall away within a few years. 😟😟
