Actually this judge WAS for black & white ppl. Those of us who believe in the fellowship of all people as humans who ARE BLACK...ARE WHITE...ARE ASIAN...ARE HISPANIC...ARE NATIVE TO THE AMERICAS. HE SPOKE TO/FOR US ALL. All who believe in right things and justice FOR ALL! And he sure did demonstrate this in his summation. God has blessed him with a true discerning mind filled with compassion AND TRUTH! May the fair mentally balanced people of the land rejoice. And may those who disagree with this verdict and believe in injustice listen to what he stated and maybe a light of CORRECTION in their mind (the mind of "in ERROR" thinking) change for the better.

This judge is Amazing. But sadly, most judges aren't that compassionate. Just like most people aren't that compassionate. Which is why giving random people too much power will always be problematic. Like police policing themselves for example. that will always end badly.

While I agree that this is sound advice on how to live life, there have been many occasions where bystanders have saved someones life or assisted in an altercation that saved someones life. Here recently a little girl was saved from her kidnapper after a random person noticed her odd behavior. There was a scuffle and chaos in the attempt to stop the guy from fleeing with her. Ultimately the kidnapper was arrested and the little girl returned to her family. She had been missing for about a year. Its definitely a roll of the dice when it comes to these things, and the person making the decision better right. Because these are the consequences for getting it wrong. They are spending life in prison. Look at the people trying to stop Kyle Rittenhouse, they also got it wrong and paid with their life.

Arbery was snooping at the Satilla property for months, at least five different occasions, including at night. Arbery was also known nearby as the Robber Jogger, amongst nearby convenience stores. Arbery also had a schizoaffective disorder which made his behavior bewildering for the McM's. Arbery had to talk to cool things down,….. the McM's tried to talk with him but Arbery remained mute,…. and then aggessed on the gun,… the idea was that Arbery would stop, and they'd for the police to take over. They have remorse for this death, but, they felt justified given his repeated suspicious behavior and not acknowledging the callouts of inquiry about his activities. But, the McM's should've only monitored Arbery, in waiting for the police rather than getting up in his face,… other than to inquire. Life in prison is excessive for the punishment. Arbery is guilty also. And besides that, check out Arbery's criminal record over the prior decade.

@@firstnationfall5451 The entire premise of what you're saying .... is based on WRONG information!! "Theft of land"?? What are you thinking about??? The native Indians didn't OWN America. They didn't even know 99.9% of it existed or been on the land. Yet the Indians think they "owned it". The Indians had no govt. The Indians had no land records. If someone died..... that was the end of the "ownership" that they never had in the first place because they never had any govt to enforce it, or records about it. There were no land boundaries either. Telling someone you own the land "as far as the eagle flies" isn't specific. Futhermore you can't tell the rest of the world, many of whom were coming to America, to go find your own continent and that "we own it all", because there are only 7 continents and people have to live somewhere whether you like it or not.

Around 1997 while living in Hampton, Virginia, I had a similar scary situation, but luckily I got away. I was walking home from work with a coworker. A block after the coworker and I went our separate directions I walked passed a driveway that had a truck in it. I didn’t notice until the truck attempted to start multiple times as I walked by. Once the truck started they passed by slow and said something I couldn’t make out, got to the stop sign and turned right. As I got to the intersection I found the truck was quickly whipping a U-Turn. I turned left and continued walking, but heard it speed up so I started jogging, knowing that the path I was taking was on the right a couple houses down. The truck increased speed behind me. I kept calm and jogging. As the truck got closer I did a 90 degree cut right, to the path leading behind the Middle School. From that path to my apartments on the other side of and across the street from the school was a good 4 football fields away. I ran it, holding both pockets of my Taco Bell uniform, in around 30 seconds flat. World Record timing. Barely felt like my feet touched the ground. My heart is racing now just remembering and typing this. 👊🏾

As a white police officer from Wisconsin. This entire event has been disgusting. Especially the actions of the first officer on scene. He arrived, exited his vehicle observed the scene and even after he heard one of this fuckers say. "He had no choice." The "officer" did nothing. Hedidn't detain anyone. He didn't begin first aid. No, he walked up to Mr Arbury, heard the incriminating statement, and simply requested crime scene tape, and walked back to his trunk. Then he told the 2nd officer on scene. "He's about to be 10-7." In my neck of wood, we would say 10-42. Which by the book means, "End of Shift." It has since been adopted, by officers to mean death... He knew this man was dying yet did nothing...

Let's be honest, Ahmaud was not training for the Boston Marathon. I'm a former long distance runner who used to run between 100-120 miles per week, during the U.S. Running boom from the 70's -80s. He was a young man who was jogging through a white neighborhood & a frequent visitor to Larry English's House-under-construction Justice was served and we couldn't have had a better judge, prosecutor, and jury.

@@eveelee4152 Why would a black athlete run in a Lily-white confederate flag waving neighborhood, where even the 12 year old paperboy has a semi-automatic AR-15 and is part of the neighborhood watch team. And to make matters worse, he was frequently trespassing into Larry English's Home-under-construction. That makes absolutely no sense what-so-ever. I'm an Irish- American and i wouldn't dare go running through the Mission Hill Projects or Blue Hill Avenue, unless i wanted to get shot & killed for being white. And when i grew up in the D-St. Projects in South Boston, during the 60s -70s, it would've been just as dangerous for a Black Person to run through "Southie," where Whitey Bulger & Steve "Rifleman" Flemmi used to shoot at Blacks for target practice. If Whitey Bulger caught anyone trespassing into a home-under -construction, he would've tortured you and cut your body up into small pieces and fed it to his pitt-bulls.

The only difference is that the mountain men would've buried him in the woods. The nearest neighbor would be 25 miles away. So, like Whitey Bulger used to tell his 6 year old son, if no one saw it happen, it never happened. These 3 idiots that killed Ahmaud, would've gotten away with it, in the backwoods of Maine.

Looking back at this case, Roddie had a major, major role in this. 1. he hit A. Arbery with his truck and forced him to run back to the Mcmichale's where travis was wating to provke an altercation and we know how it turned out. 2. He recorded the murder with his phone, which resulted in the main piece of evidence to convict both Greg and Travis and to an extent, himself. 3. He was so proud of what he did, he spoke freely about his involment... how he made a few moves... to trap A. Arbery and faulse imprissoned him which led to Travis murdering him. And then he said, I have nothing to do with it.... like you had everything to do with it. Had he stayed in his porch... he would be free and A. Arbery would probably be alive. The police were seconds away, they "probably" would have handled it better.

This judge considered EVERYTHING in this case very thoroughly from what was said by the defendants and their demeanors to the weapon used to the footage and social media post to the innocent situation that turned fatal and to the pain that the family feels to lose a loved one in this horrible fashion. The minute of silence he took was a galvanizing moment as it was only a fraction of the time that AA was faced with terror. With the humility the judge showed, I imagine him picturing a son or grandson of his facing that same type of terror and how he would feel if it was a situation that he himself had to endure. This is a honorable judge who held no bias and called it down the line like it was suppose to be called. Much respect to him for bringing forth a righteous decision.

Lot's of incompleteness on this trial. Arbery was snooping at the Satilla property for months, at least five different occasions, including at night. Arbery was also known nearby as the Robber Jogger, amongst nearby convenience stores. Arbery also had a schizoaffective disorder which made his behavior bewildering for the McM's. Arbery had to talk to cool things down,….. the McM's tried to talk with him but Arbery remained mute,…. and then aggessed on the gun,… the idea was that Arbery would stop, and they'd wait for the police to take over.

Most of Travis McMichael's attitude likely came down through his father's decades old hostility toward people unlike himself and law enforcement which usually never answers to anyone... ... Parents have to be careful about hating, b/c it can play out even in their child's life later.

No doubt about it. I know Travis hates his father now. They didn't even look at each other. Travis knows what he did was wrong but is a product of his dad. Greg McMichael has a black heart. He’s an old-school racist to his core. He still doesn't feel he did anything wrong.

This was a Judge who stood for the rule of law, with NO self involvement. He did an excellent job of telling the story of the actions of all three convicted criminals. They're words and the "MIGHTY" cell phone coverage told the entire story and the Judge spoke to those facts and the undercurrent of race on why it all happen. The American judicial systems need more Judges like him opposed to Judges who bend the rules for some or ignore the laws altogether. This was a trial worth watching and a superb Judge of compassion and decency. Well done!

I think you see is the attorneys feel they lost because he got no parole which the defense was hoping for, as her head sinks and he tries to comfort Greg. First Greg wipes a tear realizing his sons life is destroyed (not remorse for the murder though).. Then Greg shrugs at the attorneys only because he is saying "who cares, even with parole I will be dead before I would get it anyway " so it did not matter.
