Rainbow's are exceptionally good at high jumping inheritance skills. Without a top cover for protection they might be tempted to make a record breaking attempt.

Just realized my dad made me an aquarium stand that looks almost identical to that for my 55 gallon, (except the shelf is lower and I didn't paint it). Thanks dad!

I've been waiting for this one and you delivered. This really turned out amazing, I love the detail and the planting choices. The sense of flow in the tank really makes it feel serene and natural. The fish seem to be acting much more naturally as well. A long while ago you intimated that your home tank had a leak or some kind of accident. How is that, will we see an update to that tank? I absolutely love rainbow fish, I’ve had dwarf neons, crimson spotted and best of all, the reds. Their colours will pop in any tank and it would look great to have a school of them in the future. Again, great aquascaping as always, MD!

You scape looks nice, but keep in mind that rainbows can be kind of dumb when they're sparring with each other or trying to court females. So some of those more pointed pieces of driftwood can be something that they'll gouge themselves on. Could cause scale damage or other injuries. Just something to pay attention to you when you're keeping rainbow fish. Most commonly. What you'll see is a little scuff on the mouth with a bang their mouth into something. Don't worry too much about that. Those heal. It's if they have any damage on their sides that you want to worry about. Regardless, love the extra swim space you gave those rainbows!

very nice! definitely a lot more swim room. I like the spray bars for the circular flow you can get if you set them right without being too powerful as a little funny that I'm sure youll appreciate MD- the other day I asked my husband to help me hold the net while I poured the new, bagged fish into them to put them into the tank- he asked if I wanted him to go get the kettle to hold it 🤣

stunning tank! MD, you should try a few (or a lot) of khuli loaches in one of your tanks if you've never kept them before. They're so cute and fun to watch, and they live and feed happily alongside corys.

Great use of the negative space! These are aquariums after all, and that lets you see more of the fish and their normal behaviors. Crispy and clean layout. Nice work.

Love the island look of the new scape. As others have said, in my experience most Rainbows colour up better with dark backgrounds and substrates.

I didnt think you could improve on the previous rainbow tank, which was one of my favourites, but you've nailed it. It looked almost overstocked before, but you can really see how much space was taken up by the previous plants and overall scape.

I had a school of upper Katherine river rainbows from the northern part of Australia, for the better part of a decade. They had a really dark purple to them with black fins, I used to love feeding them crickets and other insects to watch them eat from the surface. I now have Murray river rainbows and praecox dwarf rainbows. Rainbows are the best community and single species aquarium fish around in my opinion. Love the tank MD another stunner, yet again.

Brilliant set up. I suggest adding Red Rainbowfish (Glossolepis incises) and Emerald Rainbows (Glossolepis wanamensis). I love the flow breaking the surface tension. Everyone should employ this technique in their aquariums.

Some of those Buce's I've never seen before. will definitely be checking out if I can get those . I've heard of Tropica , but I've been able to work with the plants I can find locally since I've had a 50% "kill rate" and don't want to buy more expensive plants until my survival rate is a little better! Love rainbow fish and I'm hoping to set one up next year .

I'm currently going through your backlog MD. Loving how far you've come. Two things... plans for the turtle pool? - You had mentioned when you first moved into the studio that you were thinking of putting a large-ish pond in the studio for turtles? And the second thing is you had mentioned "in my next studio".... any plans to upgrade to a new studio in the future? Cheers MD.
