Has anyone else noticed that whenever MD says he and Matt are off to the pub for lunch and when they get back they’ll do such and such, and then it cuts to MD saying “Right, so it’s the next day”? 😂😂😂 . Another awesome tank, can’t wait to see the new studio full of finished aquariums.

I always laugh when MD and Matt say "Flo is here". In Canada when you say that or " Aunt Flo is visiting next week" it's code for your period. So it always sounds like the boys are discussing their cycles syncing up lol

This is probably the best Workshop aquascaping youtube channel we have. every video is a new lesson on how you can make it yourself and explore this really vast hobby. Incredible

I am Australian! Rainbowfish actually live in creeks mostly, and they hang around the roots in the banks- usually with gudgeons (they are good friends). One area they are from locally has tons of vallisneria. I don't think I've ever seen them in lakes, we don't rlly have that many to begin with. Definitely creek/river fish. Beautiful tank, beautiful fish!

Australian here, Australian Rainbows are predominantly in creeks in my experience and the creeks I’ve caught them in had limited aquatic predators. So they were out in the open, but when skittish they did hide near the banks and root systems. Scape looks great as always guys!!

Hey gents. I live in the Northern Territory and we have rainbow fish everywhere in the wild around here. From billabongs to streams and creeks. The structure is very similar to what the rainbow fish (and others) congrate around in the wild. Well done

As a Rainbow fish psycho, this was fun to watch. Keep in mind, rainbows are actually QUITE fast swimmers, many of the species come from creeks and river systems, especially the Australian ones. One thing I will highly caution you on is the final small twiggy branches that were added. Rainbows aren't super smart, and when the spare and court, they pay zero attention to their surroundings, so those twiggy branches can be a recipe for injuries. Just a heads up! Otherwise love the overall design!

Perfectly handy worktable beside the tank and you still put everything on the floor… bending over and over… lol. Guess even though you both acknowledged its existence you both still forgot about it… lol. But the tank looks awesome !! Good job!

Honestly, if you had stopped on the hardscape it would be already one of your best builds so far. The plants added a nice touch, but I honestly LOVED the hardscape by itself. It remembers so much the rivers on Banff (Canada - Alberta).

Because of you, I’m finally doing my first Planted Tank Build. Seriyu Stone, Ghost Wood, Flourite/Sand. Java Miss glued to the stone and two Anubias Lanceolata Mother Plants from Buce. Not sure what I’m going to stock it with. 42g Rimless with a Twinstar E, Sump Filtration loaded with Ceramic, Filter Floss Pads, Plastic Filtration Pads and a Sicce Syncro 1.5

As an Aussie this tank looks amazing I must say it’s my favourite but I might be a bit biased but I do love all your tanks you have inspired me to get back into the hobby after a long absence thank you.

This is my favourite set up by far. Flow and stillness love it.

Boesmani will breed in the mop. Leave it in for a week then take it out. Should result in lots of eggs. Fry are tiny though so its infusoria for some days until they take micro worm / artemia. I have done that with micro dried food, but i suspect live foods would result in better survival rate. After the first week or two they are easy.

Turned out great! Wasn't sure in the first place about the big lump of wood in it. After the plants did come in it looked fabulous. Really like the adding of the leaves, really makes everything come together.

You may already have this elsewhere, perhaps for patrons, but I would totally vibe to hours' long videos of your various fish tanks. With the post-covid increase of people working from home I have to imagine there's loads of people who have a monitor dedicated to background viewing whilst working, and I would watch hours of just your fish tanks. If you're like me and you take needlessly excessive video of your fish you could put that footage to good use! Love the content.

What an awesome tank! I started keeping aquariums in like 1970/71, at the age of 10 or 11, and after a huge break of decades I'm getting back into the hobby. I'm going to be setting up a nano reef tank, but I can already see that I'm probably also going to have a planted, freshwater tank addiction happening, too. What a fantastic channel.

I did notice you said you were only putting in one otocinclus (SP?) and I just wanted to mention they actually prefer to live in groups- not tight schools, but they’re kind of like Cory cats in that way. He’d probably really appreciate having five or six buddies, and you will see them hang out near each other, and be visible more. I watch nearly all of your videos and this is one of your best! Love the betta tank, too, and seeing how the new studio is coming along. Thank you for sharing your process. It has been so inspiring.

I recently have had to sell my salt water reef tank because my fiancé and myself are downsizing and moving into a 5th wheel camper full time, I believe I could be a great candidate and would love to do something amazing with that little reef tank in our camper! ❤

Such a beautiful scape. I'm looking forward to watching this one develop over time. I really like the bundle of plants plunked on top of the wood, because as Matt said, that's how they would grow in the wild. In my personal opinion, the more "wild" an aquascape looks, the better it is. Like, I love artistic scapes, especially ones based on landscapes from fantasy films, but the natural looking ones that you do will always be my favorite.
