Huiasang story was a sad one. He deserve a better ending than been alone at the end.

Nie Huaisang needs more love! The last pic of his smilling face he looks so tired like this revenge really took alot of him. He did get revenge for his brother but really he can't turn back time where he still have Nie Minjue... I love him and he need more attention and love...

Nie Huaisang never got what he wanted, so he had to settle for revenge instead. The cost was more than he could afford though. Sometimes I relate to him. Resorting to things you may never want to do may bring out a deserving outcome, but at what cost? I bet he had to ask himself this question several times before he did what he did. Things like “Will this even work?” Or “Is this worth it?” Or maybe even “Will I ever be able to recover from what I’ve done?” The answer to that one is a hard one, and usually always a no. Once you commit to something like what he did, there’s no going back to who you were and how things were before. I just wish I could travel to their world and give every single character a hug!! I relate to a lot of them... Especially Nie Huaisang... This man is one unfortunate puppet master. The greatest one I know though.

I actually want the whole MDZS story from NHS side. Him as the protagonist. 😭 And I want the author to make him happy at the end. I know is not going to be completely happy but with peace. 😭

This made me realize something. I love fans and so I know a lot of history on them. Kinda embarrassed I didn’t notice this early. Here is the thing, fans were traditionally used in warfare across many cultures but especially the folding fan, for communication in a battlefield. NHS has fans, is very often seen with fans, uses them to communicate....and that is his ROLE in this story. He is the strategist and mastermind and the one who communicates about what will happen when. He has the fan. He is the fan. Seriously so embarrassed I didn’t notice this earlier. I’m so glad for this video for making me realize something my brain skipped over in connecting.

I love the motif of NHS and JGY playing chess (/go), and here it's delivered so beautifully, I can't! All my feels... ;___;

Damn, this is amazing! So much emotion expressed, I just love Huaisang! Double Lariat was such a good choice of a song (extra kudos to Zenya) and the way you portrayed Huaisang playing against Guanyao, little by little as Gunayao realizes what he's up against; perfect! I always felt that despite his scheming ways, the difference between NHS and JGY has been in the amount of sacrifices they are willing to make. Whereas everything (besides Lan Xichen) was fair game to Jin Guanyao, I think Huaisang wanted justice served without any extra bloodshed. Alas, he still had no one left by the end of it (and hurt Lan Xichen who was like a brother to him). Ahhh, he and A-Qinq (Yi city arc) are definitely my favorite characters. I always wonder how he would've ended up had his brother not died, and the burden of the sect he never wanted did not fall upon him.

In a long time, no AMV has broken my heart as much as this ... Nie HuaiSang did not grow up to lose his brother and become responsible. He was still a child who needed care and attention. However, it was all taken from him just like that. As a result, he had to grow up faster, even though he was still that fearful child at heart. The NHS is not a pleasure killer. He wanted to avenge his brother because he knew he would do the same for him. In a way, he wanted to relieve Nie Mingjue more than himself. Even though he ended up fulfilling his revenge, it couldn't fill the hole in his heart. It did not return his brother and childhood to him. And so in the end he was left alone ...

This song describes NHS very well. All the uncertainties and fear he had is so much clearer now even I have not noticed it while reading the novel. Whlie everyone around him were slowly soaring in the sky he was there still stuck in the sky despite those he didn't envy anyone while pretending to be optimistic and careless. He loved NMJ so much. Even though he emerged as the dark horse in the novel dead can't be bring to life....

Ahhh, perfect! This is everything i wanted to see after reading the novel, and it's so beautifully done! I love how you used go to represent how he's playing against JGY, their faces when JGY realizes and trashes the board gave me chills. Everything in this video is so good: the fun Gusu shenanigans turning into a reminder that he can't catch up with the others, the childhood flashbacks (NMJ getting him his first fan?? adorable), that single shot of (i assume) Mo Xuanyu, the part where he's watching the puppet versions of everyone and adds his own smiling, good-for-nothing self... The shots of what happens at the temple are just so beautiful (the colors!), and then... aouch. He's got no one left, in the end... ;_; Thank you so much for making this, it made me cry and I love it to pieces.

It's amazing everyone said what I could feel, I accidently read spoilers once and this made me feel his pain and struggles deeper. To be from a cheerful innocent person to a snake that needs to hunt in bushes to expose those who killed his brother, and Co tiue to spread their bloodshed with that stupid mask. 2 years ago i was watching some videos and than accidently opened this video. I had no idea of mdzs of any chinese bl. When i watched it i broke down and cried so much. Nie Huaisang was so lovely but lonely soul. At least it looked like that when i watched it. After that i looked and already watched the anime. I never knew it had a novel or anime didn't end. Years later i finally read the novel and seeing it again making me emotinaly unstable.

Uhhhhh Huaisang needs more love! I like this very much, so beautiful *cries*

Nie Huaisang makes me cry I love him so much

I love how in the most intense parts if the song your drawings are full of saturated colours. The 'boom' the music gives us is magnified by the deep reds and blues/greens. The colours are slowly introduced to the video as the singer sings (after the instrumental), so when it blows off, the change comes naturally - in the same time complimenting the intense moments. Plus I love how you drew JGY, his expressions and the anger when he flipped that board (?)... The fact that he was playing with NHS, but, as I can conclude from the half-shadowed state NHS was show in while playing, he (JGY) didn't know his opponent until he lost... They were both playing each other, which is exactly what happened, and I just can't! This is so good! JGY looks just so deranged by the end and you managed to give NHS this smug yet sad feeling.... Oh god, I can't stop myself from rambling! Anyway. I just wanted to say how great this is.

It really goes to show that aside from wangxian, almost no one else got a happy ending. Now, who's was the saddest is up for debate, but it's clear that many suffered. But this really showed me that MHS is really left with no one in the end...and that's just heartbreaking.

The fact that this story started with these three friends amd ended with these three friends who all changed for the better or worse Wwx changed for the worse, but strived to fight for the better Jc changed for the better, but ended up doing worse Nhs changed for the worse, and brought both the better and worse onto the cultivation world

In all revenge there's a damage, and the several hurt to Lan zichen is sometthing that he will carry his entire life. The flashbacks to the youth and see the new generations (the juniors) and that all are puppet in his game... a game that will leave alone. C'mon, all to give so much love to baby Huasiang 🌻🌻🌻 (And you make us cry a lot)

damn it the art is so beautiful and the lyrics befitting of the whole situation NHS had to faced alone. I'm begging for the author to at least give us some more extras to write closures for NHS, JC, and LXC because these characters did NOT get a happy ending. NHS was tired and alone, he'd never have his brother anymore, the sworn brothers triad fall out with the Er-ge going into seclusion so he didn't have anyone he could lean on. JC still couldn't face WWX, still had tons of insecurities, self-esteem issues and guilt, but is not willing to tell anyone. He was so full of hatred that when the truth was revealed, he became so confused and hurt but couldn't find anyone to blame but himself. The crying at Guanyin temple also shows how much he's putting himself down more than ever after that and it's so sad that WWX is 'at lost for words'. While I understand ego/pride and how hard it is to actually communicate ideally especially with a brother you literally brought siege upon and died and the brother having his own guilt of past mistakes, I think there's more room to process JC's emotions and insecurities if they could talk it out rather than dismissing (kinda, to me) it as 'the past is the past'. His ending is bitter to me, because there's no resolution to repair their relationship. I was wishing so hard for an extra on JC meeting WWX again when Wangxian return to Gusu :") Similarly, LXC carried the burdens of losing both brothers that he trusted so much, felt betrayed and torn, guilty of killing JGY when he clearly love them so much, and might have huge bounds of trust issues in the future. While the author gave us some sight of LXC going out of seclusion a little for mealtimes and described his weak conditions, I still would like to see him with more hope of healing. Preferably, a talk with NHS hahaha which would be impossible seeing as NHS wouldn't want to show his true colours to anyone. I'm sorry for writing this, i just need a place to vent hahahah because the song and your art made me emotionall TT

I really love this video a lot, the song and the art go together perfectly and capture Huaisang character soo good! I love and feel so bad for him, cause in the end, he stays alone. I wish he had someone to turn to after losing his big brother. I also love the part how both of them play Go together, JGY play in the light and in the open while Huaisang play in the dark behind a screen where no one can see him until it is too late. he is amazing to be able to get revenge without any bloodshed, unlike JGY that kills people without a care. what a great job!!

What hurts is that everyone has someone for their mental support but huaisang! He was left alone with his demons to care for him. It breaks my heart knowing how nobody even cared to think about his broken heart!!! Thank you so much for making such a beautiful video about Nie Huaisang. He is one of my favorite characters in MDZS, I love him because of his love for his brother and how he waited patiently, endured so much just to have justice for his big brother. It is unfortunate to be born in a world where intelligence is not as appreciated as physical strength and having so many people calling him "useless" and all, but he managed to shake the world with his revenge's plot. Nie Huaisang has my respect because he is determined to do anything for his brother. Your artwork is so cool. I love the softness of the playful and cute drawings, just look at baby Nie Huaisang and his Da-ge makes me uwu. The change of mood portrayed by the color (when Jin Guangdao realised he was losing the game) and the metaphor of two of them playing chess is perfect, and I really like the way you drew a veil hiding Nie Huaisang, because Jin Guangdao was literally fighting an enemy whom he did not know the identity. The near end is chilling with all the contrasting dark and bright, hot and cold colors blending together to portray the death of Jin Guangdao, and I absolutely love this. This video is a masterpiece to be honest. This song is so fitting as well. Nie Huaisang didn't need to reach that far and wide, but he did it for his brother, and although I know he missed the peaceful time back when he was young and carefree, he did not regret taking revenge for Da-ge.

Now i understood that he's lonely after everything...all sweet childhood moments are just past now. Wei Yin travels with Lan Zhan Guan Yao and Nie MinJue are dead People think he's just a boy who knows nothing and can't do anything Everyone he loved aren't with him anymore ..and he became twisted person for his brother and revenge

After reading and watching the animation and life action ver. of this novel, how is it that I still am reduced to tears every single time I see (/rewatch) something MDZS-related? This novel gives me so much feels I just can't- And I didn't even cry when I was tripped, fell down a flight of stairs, and broke a leg and a rib bone. How the f does that work.

Watching Fatale Journey today I have been thinking about this video of yours all the time. You were the first who made me think about the things Huai Sang lost and what his brother actually meant for him. It closed a big gap in my perception of the Nie brothers and the Mo Dao Zu Shi final's plot line. After seeing the movie today, all my questions were answered and I fell even more in love with these brothers and their story. So I just had to come back to this video. Thank you for making this beautiful piece. It's a treasure and I'll be sure to watch it many many more times.

Realmente me hubiera gustado que cada persona como NHS, y demás tuvieran una mini historia cada uno con la perspectiva de su punto de vista de todo lo qué paso. NH por su parte como planeó todo, el como tubo que actuar frente a todos con esa actitud inocente/tonta para que nadie sospechara de el, asi como la perdida de su hermano y demás. Realmente me hubiera encantado la historia detras de cada personaje como el y JC.

This is why i can never hate him or many of "bad" guys in mo dao zu shi, all suffered in many ways and had justified reasonings in mnay cases as to why they did what they did cough xue yang cough (i love him so much, i just can't hate him cmon he was basically wei ying without people truly loving him in his childhood, there was no fengmian to give him a home, no shijie to love and care for him so, no jc to form such a deep brotherly bond, and yeah xxc was there for xue yang and we see that there was moments he tried to change for him and yeah he went abit overboard but he never experienced such kindness before such love, he didn't knoa what to do and he thought maybe just like his things the best way for him to not lose the one good thing in his life is to never let it go, so yeah i can't hate somebody with the same parallel as my other child (wei ying)) except the wens, kill them!! Wen chao was worse than pig almost all the evil wens were justifiably killed (except good wens duh wen ning, qing and ayuan!) although anime wen rouhan was pretty cute not gonna lie he was smoking! Wen chao when he died i celebrated! Wen rouhan tho i was 80-20 happy he is dead 80% but like his hotness was 20% sad since maybe he was not as bad as the pig wen chao

I love this video so much, it' s such a perfect song choice; with NHS' reach growing and growing, but he's also so lonely, and I love your voice and the song, and the choice of images, and NHS and JGY playing those games and JGY not knowing that he's losing and losing until he rages because he's trapped... Huaisang didn't become Director Nie as per his wish, it was circumstances which made his hand dirty with the stain of blood. He was a carefree soul, but sadly couldn't maintain it throughout his lifetime. At the end, how I wish, at least he could have some true friends and could smile innocently like before but alas... Sigh

I do cry for Nie Huasiang. He is alone no parents and his only brotger died. Wei ying married Lan zhan and has adopted son Lan sizhui. Jiang cheng has Jin ling. Wen ning has Wei ying, lan zhan and sizhui. Even if Nie Huasiang succeed his revenge He is still alone 😢😢😢 I want to cry hard for him. I wish he got married too. I know he still good friends with Wei Ying and Lan zhan.
