So humans in the One Piece world don't have the same limitations that we do, meaning that super speed and super strength are achievable through training, and there are even entire martial arts techniques that can grant their practitioners with seemingly superhuman, albeit basic, abilities. This is why Kuro is super fast, why Zoro is extremely strong, and yes, even why Luffy is super strong. It doesn't come from his devil fruit, but rather from actual strength and combat training, though his devil fruit really helps because it allows Luffy to essentially shut off his natural limiter because his bones and muscles are rubber as well, so they're not in danger of snapping or breaking in general. But he is still vulnerable to being cut or stabbed.

canonically, Capitain Morgan, the guy with the axe hand, got famous for killing Kuro of the black cats, but it was all a ruse so Kuro could fake his own death, that's why Kuro's wanted poster was on the safe, as a trinket, also, Kuro was the one who took his hand and his jaw

Weird, not a lot of people notice that Shanks' arm flies off when the Lord of the Coast snaps at him. I mean, they show it; but I guess the camera angle was kept a bit distant, so it wasn't an up close and personal amputation.

The game that Koby was playing is called Go I remember learning it from my 6th grade math teacher who learned it when he was stationed in Japan. There is an anime I really liked called Hikaru no Go that's about the game.

Making a million in the United States is easier than making the equivalent if you were from a 3rd world country, or a tiny village out somewhere

They're the cat pirates. If its not considered a spoiler in the manga theres a separate story and the writer remembered Kuro after many years. He was there just sitting in the east blue. Hasn't really gone on an adventure like other characters in cover stories. (Then again his just began and the characters usually go through some change) this is something anime viewers wouldn't even know about unless they really tried to look and knowing the naruto fanbase people really don't look.

I just finished the series. I really, really didn't want to watch this. But there was nothing else I wanted to watch, and I was struggling to find something, so I settled on One Piece and I turned out to like the show. It's actually pretty great.

I mean if you put it that way, it does sounds kinda lame, “Luffy the monkey, straw hat crew” but in Japanese it’s basically saying “straw hat” nobody calls him luffy, only his Allie’s, and everyone knows him by “straw hat” Japanese “mugiwara” and it does sounds a bit more menacing, specially when enemies acknowledge him, “mugiwara no luffy!”

Syrup Village episodes werent my favorites. But I was enjoying Usopp's lies more than anything else in the 8 episodes. If you listen to his lies and follow the manga/anime it brings you more into their story.

In the anime/manga, zoro is too strong to have been taken out by a bottle to the head, but live action, I guess we needed him to be taken out fast for the purpose of character development in episode 4

Of all the Ep3&4 reactions, I found myself bummed since Imo these 2 are the weakest eps in the season, Zoro's backstory is fine though..so with being burnt watching everyone, usually skipped these 2. Stuck with you, and damn you got a bit emotional with Usopp's mom..lets see how you fared against the rest of eps.
