Fun fact: Taylor Louderman(Regina) is 28. Rachel McAdams was 28 when she played Regina. So it's not too much of a stretch if you think about it...though I sort of wish they got Dove Cameron for Karen, because Amanda Seyfried was just 18 when she played that part, but Katie Rockwell (who is amazing in the role) is 34 and it throws off the dynamic between her and Regina ( Regina just seems more intimidating when there's a difference of maturity levels between the two of them)

y'all the reason why Regina's hair is curly instead of straight (even though she and Karen had similar hairstyles in the movie) is probably so people can easily tell the difference between the two characters on stage. It's more obvious in a video like this but when you're sitting in a seat far away from the stage watching a musical it might be a little more difficult for some to tell the difference if both had straight blonde hair

While I was originally not for this musical, my love for Tina Fey, Taylor Louderman, Kerry Butler, Ben Tyler Cook, and Barrett Wilbert Weed brought me to the cast recording and now I am hooked! I am a huge Heathers fan, and this cast recording took the similar characters and made it so very different! This is a pleasant surprise! For those who may not find this their cup of tea, I totally understand and respect that. To each its own. For those who love the show, please do not go attacking people with different opinons. The theatre community is one of love and acceptance, and being rude and nasty is not what we're about, plus that sort of goes against the whole message of Mean Girls anyway. I hope everyone has a lovely day!

I think people are welcome to compare them as they do have similar elements and likely were at least somewhat inspired by each other. Personally I like Heathers more but I love both musicals and films a lot and don't see why people can't just appreciate both individually. Of course they are similar enough though that comparisons are reasonable but both are still great.

It's great to hear that with all of the jealous losers out here. "Mean Girls" is receiving great reviews in its pre-Broadway run in Washington. Look out for Taylor Louderman in the lead as the villainous Regina George and for Erika Henningsen who plays Cady Heron. They're getting the best reviews early on from the critics. Peter Marks of the Washington Post prefers Taylor's Regina George to that of Rachel McAdams, who played the role in the movie. Early on, it's look like "Mean Girls" will be a hit on Broadway.

You should be excited for Taylor, because the show and Taylor Louderman are getting great reviews early on at the National Theatre. Peter Marks of the Washington Post wrote that Regina George is played with piercingly cold sensuality by the IDEALLY CAST Taylor Louderman. He said that she has the eerie, frozen stare down pat, and that her Regina George is an even more intimidating version of the character that Rachel McAdams created in the film. Taylor is the meanest of all mean girls . That's how Regina George should be played.

Of course people are going to compare this to Heathers. The Heathers musical has a huge fanbase and they both revolve around a set of high school mean girls. Who cares? Just because you did or didn't enjoy Heathers doesn't have anything to do with how this show will be. No need to hate on the other musical. Also some of y'all are horrible for bashing the looks of the girls in Heathers and reducing the quality of the casting of the Mean Girls to their sex appeal. You clearly dont have a life and you clearly need to listen more to what Taylor Louderman says about RESPECTING OTHERS, since you idolize her so much. She'd be ashamed if she saw you.
