I was talking to my computer, "Don't turn it off, don't turn it off! There's bloopers!" If you have time someday, go back and watch the bloopers at the end. Superfruit is sort of all over the place content-wise. I love almost everything I have seen. They do plenty of informal covers, silly vlogs, medleys, and collaborations. They also wrote some songs together, many of which have official videos. They put out an album and went on tour in PTXs downtime back in the day. Sadly, since Scott and Mitch don't share an apartment anymore, they don't really have the time to do anything super-fruity.

It's challenging to describe the type of music that Superfruit produces because it's so varied. Playful and fun (e.g., Frozen, Defying Gravity), campy (e.g., Guy.Exe), amazing collabs (e.g., Rise), new genres (e.g., Hip Hop Goes Broadway parts 1 and 2), original music (e.g., Imaginary Parties), and rap (e.g., Feeling Myself). Because Mitch and Scott have known each other since their teenage years, their voices harmonize or play off each other so well, as illustrated in songs like their anti-medley, Beyonce Medley, Empire Medley, and others. Thx for opening up the Superfruit door.

You're going to hear this a lot but you need to watch after the subscribe screen, bloopers and great. Superfruit is Scott and Mitch's side project for years ago when they were rooming together, they've since stopped it but they left us some great stuff. "Guy.Exe", "Defying Gravity (from the musical Wicked)", "Single Ladies", "Goodbye from Lonely" and the HipHop goes to broadway videos are my favs.

You stopped it before it was done!! They show bloopers after every one. Totally worth it to watch. Too funny.

I knew you were not aware of the bloopers. I was yelling at my phone lol you should go back and watch the bloopers because they are worth it! They are absolutely built for this! I hope you keep watching Superfruit, especially defying gravity, and then their official musical videos are awesome as well. Superfruit is only Mitch and Scott and occasionally Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) will feature, but they also have other features as well.

A few of my favorites from superfruit are "hip hop goes Broadway" - part one and two, Rise (in response to the pulse nightclub shooting), and Empire Medley (You don't need to have watched the show, Empire, in order to enjoy it). And as others have pointed out, wait for the bloopers that come after it says 'subscribe'

More Superfruit please! From hilarious vlogs, wonderful music skits, fantastic collaborations, amazing medleys, all original music from Future Friends album, and woven through it all, sublime vocals. Just some of my favs are Defying Gravity, Empire Medley, Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 & 2, Feeling Myself, GUY.EXE (and every other song from their Future Friends album which us absolute 🔥) The official music videos for each song on Future Friends are sooo good and extremely creative! You really can't go wrong. Thanks for your reactions!

You must have heard the roar go up when you cut this before the bloopers! The last minute of this is at least as good as the rest. Please be sure to go back and check it out. You'll see these three, who have been singing together since they were 8 or 9, having the best time singing together and also being silly. With many Superfruit videos, there are outtakes after the closing screen, and they are always a lot of fun.

In 2013, when Pentatonix was still trying to build their career, and Scott and Mitch were sharing an apartment, they decided to start a vlog called SuperFruit. The vlog episodes were mostly them chatting, plus some comedy, KZfaq challenges, etc., sometimes with guests. Occasionally they would get obsessed with a new album or a favorite artist and work up a musical arrangement, usually with Scott doing a piano accompaniment; that's something they had been doing since high school. Or a homemade musical performance like this, usually with a guest and using whatever props and costume bits were lying around the apartment. Then in 2016 they got more serious, started writing original songs together, and worked with a variety of established pop songwriters and producers to record around a dozen of the songs, released in 2017 as two EPs (Future Friends Vol 1 & 2), also combined into one Future Friends album with some extra material. Then they worked with an assortment of videographers, directors and designers to make full music videos of most of the songs -- sets, costumes, choreography and backup singers & dancers. By the end of 2017, they stopped doing the vlog, but did one more video in 2019, a cover of When In Rome's "The Promise"

This never gets old! Love how Mitch sings with so much emotion. Would love to see them all perform on Broadway. Definitely need to check out Superfruit's Defying Gravity. Mitch and Scott........ well, it's amazing! Make sure you watch until the very end to see bloopers with Superfruit videos. Superfruit Hip Hop goes Broadway 1 and 2 are amazing as well. I was laughing when you talked about their teeth because I had just thought (for the 100th time) “Their teeth are so perfect!”. Anyway, I also recommend Defying Gravity, Rise, Guy.exe, Deny U, Empire Medley, Feeling Myself, Hip Hop Goes Broadway (1 & 2) and Ghost Hunting for a variety.

This was just them hanging out partying in a weekend night, my understanding is they were a bit drunk. They are theater kids and this was at the beginning of their career so they were just being goofy.

Any and all of them could be on Broadway. Several others have given the brief synopsis of the origins of Superfruit and it was all back in the day when they were in their early 20s. They would drink and be silly and make beautiful music together. Did you notice that this video was all one shot? No cuts or edits? The bloopers show some of the playing around till they got it all figured out. Defying Gravity is another fun one that Scott requested for his birthday and Mitch just shines. Their duet medleys are definitely worth a watch....pick your fave singer and enjoy - Beyonce, Gaga, and so many more. Guy.exe is an original (I think) and the video story production is excellent and the song/video so fun. The Promise is more serious and a fave of mine. I'll keep watching for more Superfruit & PTX. :)

Even when they are goofing around they still sing beautifully. They have SO many videos under Superfruit. Some real songs, some just playing around. They did one from Wicked. They just make me smile.

What everyone else said, with three additions. 1. It's Kirstie, not Kristie. She recommends remembering that Kirstie rhymes with thirsty. 2. In the movie, Princess Anna has dark hair and Princess (later Queen) Elsa is a blonde. And this particuular blonde wig appears in a lot of SuperFruit videos; it's practically a character in its own right. 3. In the movie, Elsa can freeze people just by touching them. Anna doesn't remember this about Elsa - as part of her cure after Elsa froze her Anna forgot. So Elsa has been avoiding Anna, for Anna's own protection, and Anna doesn't know why. Elsa's big solo comes after she's been coronated Queen, and has inadvertently revealed her "gift" and run away in despair. She's still wearing one of the white gloves she's been using to protect people from her touch, and during the solo she throws the glove off. But Mitch didn't have a white glove handy, which is why he had a towel wrapped around his hand instead.

Oh dear!! Yes, it's fun and a great showcase for their voices, but you missed the most fun part...the bloopers! We did tell you to keep watching after the Subscribe screen!! Anyhoo...go watch them now. Mitch and Scott have done this weekly fun vlog for several years, so there's quite a few songs and skits ( with singing and guests) to go through. Pick anything from their catalogue that you find interesting...but remember there may be bloopers!!

Superfruit is a must You get a look at Mitch and Scott's amazing friendship and how well they sing together. Anything you watch will bring a smile to your face and lift your spirits. One of my favorites is Beyonce Medley, and Im not a fan of Beyonce, lol ...Feeling Myself is great too. But Defying Gravity is a must ❤ enjoy the beautiful rabbit hole of Superfruit definitely different from PTX but just as great. ❤

Yep, well...Pentatonix has five sets of truly impressive teeth, no doubt, lol! Kirstie was seldom part of Superfruit, which was Mitch and Scott's weekly vlog that included fun and games, reactions, parody, covers, and eventually a full-on original dance album with music videos for every song with a tour and everything. They also did a full video of their cover of "The Promise." Whether serious or funny, the vocals are always brilliant when they sing, and usually its just Mitch and Scott sitting side by side singing their faces off. I suggest "Empire Medley" "Happy Little Pill" and the "Rihanna Anti Medley" as well as their collab cover with three other non PTX artists of "Rise." Also literally their entire album which is all up beat and a little campy and fun for the most part. "Deny U" and "Goodbye From Lonely" are a little less upbeat but still dancey. For laughs try "Hip Hop Goes Broadway 1 & 2" and their cover of "Feeling Myself."

They were still very much kids in this. Scott was recently 22, and Kirstin and Mitch hadn't even hit that yet, That ratty blond wig should be an honorary Superfruit member. The side group lasted until 2017, when they put out a very well-regarded EP of original music, Future Friends. If you want to check out the evolution of Mitch's female-range diva voice (which has become far more than a joke), the next stop is Superfruit's Defying Gravity, and much more recently, his cover of Billie Eilish's Your Power, and the official Pentatonix video of The Prayer.

Superfruit is now a defunct group from Scott and Mitch. Their current busy schedule doesn't allow them to continue Superfruit (touring, new albums, Kirstie's new baby, Scott's new engagement to fiance, Mark). I am secretly hoping at some time in the future Mitch and Scott can step back into Superfruit for some encore performances, since so many new artists and songs have come on the scene since they disbanded, that they could do "Evolution" videos of.

Always remember to stay for their "bloopers" segments afer the "subscribe" sign. I suggest you go back & check it out for this one. Their "Defying Gravity" & "La La Land Medley (feat. Kirstin Maldonado)" as well as the "Behind the Scenes: Superfruit - La La Land Medley" are wonderfully creative & entertaining. And, one more. Sometimes In 2013 Mitch and Scott started posting Superfruit videos every week (almost) until sometimes in 2018. They last posted in 2019. It was fun looking forward to their posts. They posted from home, from locations and from tours around the world. That blonde wig Mitch had on appeared in 3 more of their videos. They have a lot of different types of content. If you have an open mind, you will probably enjoy Superfruit. In the future, please stick around for the bloopers after "Subscribe" pops up.

SuperFruit is just Scott and Mitch, they did this for fun and had Kirstie help out. There was a bit wine involved and they were just playing around in a hotel room to kill some time on tour. Even when they're just goofing off they're freaking awesome!!! They have a couple of these types of fun vids. But SuperFruit was a group with music video's, albums, concerts for like 5 years, you should check out some of their music. Scott and Mitch sing amazingly together, it's insane!! Good ones to start with are Beyonce Medley, Empire Medley, HipHop Goes Broadway 1 & 2, Lady Gagy Medley, Anti-Medley, Feeling Myself and there are many more. They have a decent size catalogue to pick from.

Superfruit was pretty much just the side project that Mitch and Scott did at the time they were roommates they're both extremely gay and we're just having fun messing around with their own projects and making up stuff. On this Kirsten is 1 of their best friends from high school and they were all just hanging around with a bunch of friends and filmed it and then put it on super fruit. Be sure to stick around and watch all of the bloopers usually they post a lot of bloopers afterwards and they're just dumb and silly and having fun and hilarious.

Nooooo. You need to see the bloopers, right after about 95% of the time they have bloopers. Scott and Mitch first met when they were 10 and 11yrs old in CATS, Children Arts and Theater Studio. They met Kirsty in Jr. High and became the Trio and have been singing since then.

One of the big reasons for creating Superfruit is that it's definitely got content that is R-rated, whereas Pentatonix tries to keep things PG or PG-13 at absolute worst/best. Superfruit was a way for Mitch and Scott to blow off some steam and just mess around, without having to worry about keeping things "under control". BTW - it's KIRstie, not KRIstie. Normally I would let that kind of thing pass, but you've even got it as Kristie in the video title, and it's one of her pet peeves when people call her by the wrong name. Kirstin/Kirstie rhymes with Thurston/thirsty.
