It's horrendous the first time you try it, the slippery-ness, the spice, it's an acquired taste. And Timur is a kind of pepper that is found only around these parts in Nepal. It has that tangy, sharp heat with tonic like properties and used to give a quite distinctive tang to pickles and vegetable dishes.
