Apologies I forgot to say in the software you can also adjust the response curves in addition the the usual dead zone and calibration... still not hugely interesting but it's there! lol

Thanks Karl. You are right, this stuff is expensive, but the price quoted includes VAT for UK customers. We also have the Evo Load Cell kit included in the GOZZA promo. The price quoted in the video includes the base plate.

Actually, with the software you can adjust the deadzones and linearity in addition to calibration which is quite useful and create profiles. I have the Evo1 LC 3 pedal set myself.

Oh yes good point, you can adjust the curves! I'd totally forgotten.

Built quality is top… however the hydraulic brake is so crazy stiff, it could be completely not move at all and you would hardly notice a difference. I tend to go back to my meca cup1 and use the stiffer polymer for the brake.

Im currently running the simtrecs pro gt pedals. And theyre fantastic. But ive beem thinking anout trying somehting tjays truly hydrailic for a more authebtic feel. There are so many hydraulic options now. These seem like they do a great job with giving an authentic brake pedal feel. I know i woukdnt be faster with these over the simtrecs. Im just wondering if the brake oedal would feel a little more reslistic.

How are there only TWO review of these pedals on KZfaq!? And you're the only one that really gets into trying out the hydraulic pedal? I feel like I heard so much about the Cup pedals and hardly anything about these pedals.

I have no idea why this is mate, very little promotion from Mecs it seems? I only got them on loan from Race @ Home.

I just went on a limb and ordered them... they were off by over a month on est shipping date (due to supply shortages). I think there are so many existing orders they may not be sending out promo ones for reviews (it looks like a reseller sent these to Karl)

Great review Karl. What advantages would you say, if any, does the Hydraulic version of the EVO1 offer over the Load Cell version? Thanks!
@KarlGosling
@KarlGosling Жыл бұрын
No advantage, but a subjectively "better" feeling.

I was going to buy the Evo1 but with the loadcell brake instead of the hydrolic brake. But I did of research and ended up get the VRS pedals. If you can get a pair I highly recommend giving the VRS pedals a review, similar price to the EVO1
@kridedude
@kridedude Жыл бұрын
I did just the opposite. I was going to buy the VRS set from a local dealer but because I like the brake pedal stiff the dealer suggested the Evo1 LC pedals instead. Also I like the elastomers more vs just a spring with brake pedals but it's more of a personal preference I guess. Haven't regret a bit my decision, the Evo1 set was a bit cheaper as well. The VRS set is very good too from what I've heard!
@eisa313
@eisa313 Жыл бұрын
@Kride The VRS pedals are very stiff as well, I'm currently using the default spring which is plenty resistance for me but it also comes with a red spring which I believe is 120kg resistance which would probably overkill for most people tbh. The other factor for me at least was adjustability of the pedals and that's one thing I think the VRS really excellent at.

@@kridedude Can you adjust the brake force in the software of EVO 1 LC? Like on Fanatec or Heusinkwelt ?
@kridedude
@kridedude Жыл бұрын
@@martintop2605 sort of yeah but not exactly same. You can adjust the upper deadzone or just calibrate them to your liking which is essentially the same. The Meca Evo1 software has more options for pedals tho than Fanatec (i.e the custom curves etc.)

How much more travel do hydraulic pedal have ? Is it much more than Asetek Invicta? Got invicta with long travel kit and it’s a bit too stiff and got too short travel.

Hi, I hesitate a lot between a meca evo1 hydraulic bundle with shifter and handbrake or a simagic p2000 kit with simagic shifter and handbrake for roughly the same price, which would be better?

Great review, you have a strange buzz sound in the background tho. Sounds kind of like a bug zapper in my headphones. I like seeing reviews for gear I can never afford. When I get in trouble w/ the wife for my mid range purchases these vids give me ammo to say "look what I could have bought instead!" :)

It‘s most likely a grounding issue. In the audio world we get rid of it by cutting ground from the audio line. So if you are recording with an interface than maybe there is a ground switch that could help. If not i would look for a bad power supply. Especially the 9V ones can introduce this hum into audio signals.
