Yeah and none of them claim to be the greatest. None of their fans parade them as the goat. Thats the difference. Drake is dead ass buying records. Its not that he has "writers" YE has writers pen for him but its his ideas. He creates the records from scratch.

@@humblebragger500 I thought about that too. I guess it’s just that I’ve never taken Drake seriously so hearing him claim to be the best wasn’t believable to me. There was always something about him that seemed like everything he did and said was goofball type shenanigans. Drake is a method actor and performer,all of this has proven that at least 50% of his career is him acting and rapping from scripted songs and the other 50% is 25% megalomaniac and 25% egomaniac. He’s always been shallow and moved like a cobra. When you know the nature of a snake,what do they do..slither on their bellies and show their fangs. They give obvious signs before they strike and try to bite you so you should be able to see them in the grass way before they bite. I don’t see him as hiphop,never have, he’s more 🦉cult than he is culture .✊🏽 If he wants to be the Wizard of Oz and use smoke💨 and mirrors 🪞 and create illusions he can’t play victim when the curtain gets pulled back and we see he’s not the Wizard,he’s a con artist.. I feel like the logic and comparison being made here isn’t right. Biz Markie having help from Kane doesn’t matter as much based off the type of rapper Biz was. However if someone came out and released information about having wrote for Kane, then there would be an uproar. Same applies for Jay-Z. And some artist are primarily producers or record executives who dabble with rapping here and there. Dr.Dre, Diddy. We all know Em, jay, Kendrick, Royce and possibly any artist that’s been in the shady/aftermath camp has written for Dre at some point but that’s okay. We don’t look to Dre for deep and lyrical content. He was a producer from the start. Same goes for Kanye, although he can rap a bit better than other producers he still is first and foremost a producer. And this isn’t to say Drake is one of those rappers like Jay or a Kane. But his fanbase and the masses have placed him on that pedestal but yet have the rules of a pop star apply to him and not of a hip-hop artist. People are attempting to blur the lines now with him and allow him to have writers and then bring up bad examples of other rappers doing it. Imagine if Jay-Z or Eminem, Rakim or any of the greats had some information come out when they were on their unstoppable runs back in the 00’s or 90’s. Because of the way they present themselves and the type of product they deliver, the hiphop community would not let it slide and there would be more of an outrage for them than Drake. Had Drake stayed in his lane of music and didn’t boast or brag about being the best, this would be a different conversation. The rap greats have always been in competition with other rap greats, if you don’t write your own material that’s automatic DQ. If they claim it’s because he’s an artist/pop star and compare him to MJ or Rihanna then keep him on those lists with those artist.
