I had a friend in the '80's who built a shop with a frame straightener. He could straighten the old American built box frames to spec. Jerry was an incredible technician. His work was art.

Заезжая в автосервис на жестянку, не надо пиздеть как все дорого и надо оставить все детали в оригинале. Пошёл и купил все новое, что сказал жестянщик. И не надо ехать к армянам, потому что дёшево и не будет сто кило шпатлёвки.

They were using the eye squint safety method for welding. See, if you squint to where the opening in your eyes is smaller than the size of the flash the light can't get in. 🤪

В Корее такой ремонт стоит в три раза дороже чем в элитном московском тех центре, соответственно и зарплаты больше. По этому много кузовщиков едут туда на заработки. А у нас что ни клиент, то упырь, хочет качественно и бесплатно.

My car earned it, $732,000 original miles, still has the original timing chain and the original front and rear seal on the motor. Motor and transmission never been separated. Still has the original CV shafts.

I miss the old days when we could fix cars like this. They put us through so much crap now. Laser alignment on everything within 2mm of factory spec, corrosion protection that is near impossible to weld through, multiple processes of sectioning that make a freakin mess and take forever, then make us do it all with used parts or Chinese aftermarket that doesn’t fit. This is what good old fashioned auto body looks like. Probably took him about 20 hours and got paid for 50. Now we work 50, have to do it twice, send back all the junk parts to get something that’ll actually fit, then get paid 20.

It will rust like hell at the welding points. From inside out. I was rear ended like that. The car was repaired the same way. After 2 years rust will burst thru the paint. All the galvanic coating from the factory is gone where you cut and weld the panels.
