The new gasket looked like it was better quality than the old one. Amazing work even though he doesn't even have a hand ratchet. So beautiful that the outer canister shell had previously been repaired and the welds were visible. Wherever he may be come nothing is thrown out. Amazing!

lol, they don’t know what a ratchet tool is or an air driven wrench. Hell, they have electricity and you see air compressors sometimes but never a decent tool of any kind. It’s like staying locked into the 1900’s.

I’m a diesel mechanic in Canada. I’m pretty they use air to apply the parking brakes (opposite of how we do it in North America). Our parking brake is applied by the spring when we vent the air holding back the spring. DO NOT open the spring chamber (parking brake side) in a North American truck! There’s a massive spring in there which compresses at about 3600lbs of force. You will be seriously injured if you’re lucky to survive getting hit by it.

It’s simply cost of doing labour. New part costs 20 dollars? Well an American mechanics labour rate is upwards of 100 an hour so might as well replace it. South Asian labour rates are closer to a dollar an hour so it’s worth the time to repair the broken part then replace it. Also it’s illegal to take apart those chambers since the spring could kill you, in third world countries lives are sadly just an expense in the books to write off at the end of the year.

Yeah and that's why we don't regularly see trucks and school busses killing 2 dozen people here in the US either, we actually fix things and don't keep them limping along with junk repairs These guys will take a cracked rim and braze 4 pounds of aluminum on it and cut it on a lathe without even checking the runout. . . . . . You would only find that impressive if you're stupid or you've never worked on a car or a piece of industrial machinery your entire life

@@yelnatscoruba8602 nah man, they have rebuild kits. they can clearly buy parts. the reason they do that over there is because 3 guys getting paid $1/h for 3 hours is cheaper than one mechanic in america getting paid $25/h to install a $120 part in 20 minutes. its simply more profitable because of how little they get paid compared to the rest of the world.

The thing about flexibility is if you don’t use it, you lose it. When we’re babies we’re all flexible, but we lose it as we get older because it’s not used by most people. They’ve been sitting like this for years so it’s nothing. That’s supposed to be a comfortable, natural position. In some places toilets are made low because that’s the best way to use the restroom😂 use your whole body or lose it

Servo translates as slave (roughly) in Latin. The servo is connected to a master cylinder (Somewhere near the engine I think). The master fixes oil into the servo which then operates the brake. Basically the slave follows the master
