Just FYI if you do not have a battery tool system that has a biscuit joiner. Harbor Freight has a corded one for $70. I learned you WILL find more things to build once you get a tool you never needed before. Also I had this large mirror that was left behind at my house from a dresser. I built a French cleat to turn it into a vanity mirror on the wall.

With the proper layout, you could use pre-built cabinets or bookshelves to give you the custom look. Build walls and by adding trim to give a real custom look and a finish for those of us that don't have the tools to build cabinets. I purchased mine from a big box store, Turned out terrific.....

Great job Jeff. I wish you had made this video last spring because I made a similar size entertainment centre for my basement. It turned out to be nice. Kids love it and using it everyday. I used rollers for painting however I highly recommend using the spray like you did. Makes a big difference. I also added grooves to install LED light strips. It added another level of beauty to it in the dark.

I have never left a comment all these years, but man you are the best as you relate to DIY in Canada. I did an ikea hack just recently, but next time plywood and French clic it is! Instead of biscuit how about dowels? It would be great if you did a separate video on how you fixed some of the mistakes or variances you encountered?

Awesome project. I’m not a fan of the new editing style. Very hard to process now. Jeff your natural talking pace is right as you speak. Your are a natural teacher. cutting all gaps make it just too hard to process all the information. I noticed on the last couples of videos as well, I just couldn’t keep up. Being able to really understand is what made me like your channel in the first place. Having to scroll back and rewatch it to understand makes me less confident.

I agree, Jeff you have a good pace when you speak naturally but it seems like your editor is removing all the pauses which makes the pace too jerky and fast to really follow.
