I think this song is about trying to avoid your pain with drugs which can take many forms including religion. It's also a poke at American consumerism and easy solutions like the commercial jesus in downtown LA instead of deep soul searching

Incredibly fabulous visually the first part without vocals. I think of Andersen's fairy tales - the little mermaid and Greek myths - the golden daughter of King Midas - you can drown in your own dreams. And then suddenly Dave's voice pulls me out of it, you have to wait a long time until he starts singing. It's all very beautiful and it's such a relaxation after all day stress. . . I admire your ideas and talent, it's a great job! Of course not all ideas and performances of DM and DG and MLS I like but I do not write critical comments because then I get tired of my own remorse😂😂😂
