I start an MA program in 2 days and i’m EXCITED! As a young mom (21) who was going through depression for years and never had a plan or motivation to pursue a career this is big for me. I don’t mind being looked down upon by people in higher positions because just a few months ago I couldn’t see myself doing anything in life. This is me showing myself that I can apply myself and be something so i’ll take whatever comes with the experience. Maybe later on i’ll end up furthering my education and moving up the ladder 💖

Amen to this love. I pray that all goes well in Jesus’ name amen amen and amen. I’m in the same spot. 21 a mom and wanting to go into this field of work. I was down a lot at a losing and told myself I couldn’t do the work and I couldn’t do jobs like nursing. But this year will be different, we will show ourselves how much we really can do when I our minds are out to it and when God is in His rightful place in our lives we can do it all. You got this. And I know you’ll be soo proud of your self and the beautiful things you accomplish in life. Have a blessed one. I wish you nothing but great thing and I pray your journey in this field is filled with nothing but blessings, happiness, and fulfillment.💕

Yes!!👏When she said that I felt so much better. To me, being an MA is a step up from being a CNA yet I won’t have to deal with the b.s. + additional stress that nurses do. So it’s a win for me !! Screw what everyone else thinks. It pays the bills.

I have 3 more months until I go into my externship, and medical assistant wasn’t my first choice but I agree it’s a great way to get myself introduced into the medical field. In the future I plan to go to school to become an ultrasound technician, and I told myself if I can graduate and become an RMA I will continue with school to become an ultrasound tech

Thank you for your video you are right there is a stepping stones and doing things and I believe in that so much I started out as a certified CNA then a dialysis technician a certified phlebotomist and now the medical assistant I have worked in dialysis centers I have worked in the hospital that has urgent care and I worked in occupational medicine so I did both sides and take of patients and occupational medicine I also work at internal medicine with adults and pediatric. Now going to start working in a gynecologist office I just wanted a little heads up at how things run so thank you so much for your video and listening to the things you were saying really it. I went to college and got my medical assistant so I got associate applied science degree upstate they don't have short programs for the medical assistant you have to go through the college which is a two-year program

If I practiced these skills everyday maybe, but unfortunately my MA clinical skills course is only 1 day a week through my community college. Don’t be so hard on yourself you’re learning and they know that. You’ll get it! ☺️☺️☺️🦋🦋🦋 keep going. & speak positive during the process if your heart is in it, it’s for you. I wish you the best.

Don’t recommend they treat you bad in those especially if it’s an AFC I’d recommend a doctors office or hospital

Can you explain everything you did to become a MA without any schooling pls! I wanna start my MA after I get my associates in science in December and I wanted to go for MA but don’t know where to start 🥲

Some places don’t require you to be a certified medical assistant. If you have experience in an office or a clinic setting sometimes that’ll be enough. Most places are only hiring people who have their certifications and I know many people who are working and their jobs are now paying for them to become certified you get paid more with a certification as well.

I’m in school now for CMA and didn’t realize there was a difference. I’m on an associate degree program and we are taught clinical skills like doing injections etc along with the administrate skills as well.

how much do medical assistants usually get paid?
@Azumayra
@Azumayra Жыл бұрын
I am a MA, saw your comment. Since you haven’t had a response I will respond to you. The pay varies but usually a Medical Assistant with no experience can get an average pay starting from $12-$16 an hour. Private clinics usually pay lower but if you start in a system like Harris Health System you can get paid $18 an hour but you have to be certified and have CPR certification as well.

I'm in school to be a Medical Assistant and I almost done, but it's something I don't see myself doing for years. I am just using it as a stepping stone to get into Nursing school. I am just worried about finding a job because I don't have the experience and i am changing careers. It may take me awhile to get the hang of being a Medical Assistant it's something new and different for me. @Nurse Kyra
