Finishing my externship next week at a urgent care and its very busy. You are correct medical assistant stays busy. To triage, to charting, to disinfectant rooms after patient is gone. Swaps and much more. Thank you for this video. Absolutely spot on.

I've learned more in 6 months as a MA than I did as a CNA 1&2 in 6 years at the job I've been blessed to work at. I wish I had more insight before I started college! CMA/RMA is def the way to go if you want to continue in healthcare!!

I am a new medical assistant currently in my extern! I would love it if someone did a video on how to get familiar with insurance , prior auths! I am struggling with this. 😅
@thewritecma9 ай бұрын
Are you currently working? As a new MA alot of that learning comes with time. Taking notes and studying. Insurances change all the time, but once you start you will be able to learn whats next and keep going. Alot of times when you call for prior auth. info they walk you through whats needed and give you the information on where to send everything. In my bio I have a begginers guide ebook on Medical Assisting, Duties, skills to learn after finishing school, certification information, dealing with self doubt, and so much more. I even created and included a guided journal. The info is on my channel bio. Good luck with everything!

Thank you so much!!! I took notes on all of this 👍 This was very informative and I truly believe this is going to help me with a lot of stuff once I do get started. I start my classes this Friday. I am so excited but also a little nervous. I am nervous bc I am 49 yrs old and as much as I believe that it's never too late to further a persons education bc I have been a certified nursing assistant, a caregiver, a certified psychiatric nursing assistant, and now will become a certified clinical medical assistant. I have always been very good at taking test and learning new things and retaining new information... but now that I am older I have noticed that my memory is nowhere near what it used to be and that I forget a lot of stuff now and I am going through menopause so I forget a lot of stuff and I have brain fog so just not as sharp with things as I used to be. I am about to get the bioidentical hormone replacement therapy on thursday and I know once I do that, my mind and memory will get back to normal bc all the things I am lacking I will have back in my system, but it will take it about 4 weeks to get back to normal so my first 4 wks are going to be straight hell. My school is only 4 months. The 1st 2 months are learning then month 3 is nothing but study and prepare for the test all month long with study tests. Then month 4 is our clinicals in which we have to do 80 hrs so we can either do 2 wks full time or 4 wks part time then we graduate... 👩🎓 pray that I do well! I have always wanted to do something like this!!!! I just pray my mind will retain the first 4 weeks worth. 🙏🙏🙏 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!

This is all true girl and I have been a Medical assistant for a year. Every doctor its different and you work how they like things. Its good to be observant and watch how they like things so that the clinic its run efficiently. If providers are happy then MAs are happy as well as the patients. As a side not I literally had to work with a doctor who can bearly see and I had to write in big letters or else he be like why are you writing little. I’m here like I am writing normal. But ok I’ll try with big letters and he seem happy with it. Lol 😂

Yes, I have worked with doctors that don’t even see the ma it’s like your invisible and then I’ve worked with some that don’t respect woman I could go on and on but as long as you do your job and make it easy for them they will have no choice but the respect you and your start to build a bond with your doctor

Is there a difference between the medical assistant diploma obtained at the community college and that obtained in an accelerated program???
@aaliyahzhane4363 Жыл бұрын
Personally me I went to a accelerated program and I loved it. I got so much hands on so I would prefer that and it’s faster I finished in 15 months. I cannot really speak on the community college but I think both is great any way you further your education is a great experience and step forward
