I highly recommend this video lecture to new and seasoned coders! The detailed breakdown of the formula used for anesthesia service reimbursement was presented in a manner that was very easy to understand. I enjoyed the scenarios testing us regarding the use of physical status modifier and qualifying circumstances. In the Radiology section review, the focus on proper use of technical and professional modifiers was very thorough. I particularly benefited from the refresher on radiation treatment management.

The focus on radiation treatment management was helpful and I learned about the values for the physical status modifiers and qualifying circumstances. I didn't have my CPT annotated with that information so thank you. First in the series I watched but definitely plan to go back and review the other videos. Thanks again!

Time 48:42 In the scenario, qualifying circumstance code 99140 has two value With allows two (2) extra-base units mean 2 Then answer will be 12000$ right.

Regarding the Anes time at 41:00 the following is given: (Base + Time + PS + QC) x CF , in the example provided ( 3+5+2) x 100, what happened to the PS? The final calculation was (Base + Time + QC) x CF. PLEASE clarify.

3 represents the base, 5 represents the time, and 2 Qualifying Circumstances. There were no applicable PS modifier circumstances in that scenario. I do agree we should have made that clear.

I think they are in the same order as the CPT manual..... So Cardio 30000 should be at the 2nd or 3rd week, and the 7000 series should be in the 7th or 8th week.
