Is medical coding same as medical billing? Does a medical coder deal with insurance claims, denials etc?

Medical Coding is assigning of codes to diagnosis & procedures whereas Medical Billing is converting codes into dollar value i.e. billing it to insurance companies. Both are integrated process and they both deal with insurance claims & denial management. Medical Coding is a better pay opportunity in India than Medical Billing.

Yes of course. 90% of our students clear in first attempt. Training module consists of 3 internal mock tests making sure students clear in first attempt only.

In one fee CPC exams have two attempts i.e. if you are unfortunately unable to clear in two attempts then you need to pay exam fee again to get another 2 attempts.

Work culture has gone crazy now, there are endless targets, no work life balance, Sat-Sun working and its a great effort to even get a 3-4 days holiday. Science background is not needed for Medical Coding. In Odyssey, we train non-medical students also. They are extensively trained in medical terminology and human anatomy before start of Medical Coding training. So do not make non-medical background your hinderance for not joining Medical Coding.
