Lilly Craig 1. I was a Bio chem bio major but you can major in anything and still work in the medical field. I made a video on how I got into medical school explaining more about this. 2. Getting into medical school is a process. It takes years to build your application and with every year, getting into medical school gets more competitive. I don't think I could single out any one particular aspect of the process. 3. First two years are didactic (classroom) based. Year 3-4 are all clinical rotations so at this point you will be working with real patients. 4. I'd rather not disclose this just for my own privacy reasons - at least until I graduate.

Man thats tough just because it also depends on the people you work with. I'd probably have to pick surgery just because I had my surgery rotation with two of my closest friends in medical school. If it wasn't for them, I don't know if I would like being at the hospital from 5 AM till 2 AM

This depends on the type of surgery you like. General surgery was fun because you were allowed to be more hands on during medical school. There is a lot more finesse during ophthalmology surgery but you're only allowed to watch. I personally like surgeries that require a little more finesse - but these surgeries are usually elective and not life saving.

I took a general bio and physiology in high school. But any biology course would give you good exposure.

During 3rd year, core rotations are usually 6 weeks. During 4th year, you get to choose all your rotations as long as you fulfill the overall year requirement. Rotations are 2-6 weeks and this just depends on how much time you wish to spend during that rotation.
