I live in North Quincy, Massachusetts. I am 33 years old. I am a US citizen. I was born in this country. I was signed up for Medicaid by my parents, many years ago when I was still a minor. I have never had to handle my own healthcare before. I know that I am on Medicaid, but that is all that I know. How do I learn more about my own Medicaid plan? How do I find out more about my own health insurance?

Hi June. Medicaid works a little differently in each state. eligibility.com/medicaid/massachusetts-ma-medicaid-benefits. This link will give you an understanding on the requirements to be on Medicaid in Massachusetts, what it covers, and more.

Thanks for the video. In the scenario with Dan that is duel eligible, then does his advantage health plan work the same if he were out of state or to relocate out of state?

If he moves out of his plans service area, he will need to enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan in his new location. He will also need to apply for Medicaid in his new resident state.

@@StriveMedicare Thanks for the reply. So if i understand correctly medicaid only works with a Advantage Plan and not straight Medicare part B ?
