I had/have a sore throat, and it hurts and feels raw to breathe sometimes, and wake up 5 a night times to a very painful throat, drinking water helps a little bit, but I woke up extremely tired. But, if you're tired, then you'll probably sleep well the next day! That's what happened to me. Good luck dealing with your sore throat, and God bless you!

7 days ago I caught covid by man coughing before he put on his mask- Me on the other hand did NOT wear a mask- yes I do regret it. First 2 days I was little tired- then next 2 days extremely body in pain- durring night time I thought I was constipated- next AM I did 2 days of POO and felt 90% better. Warm drinks are the SECRET. I had walnut for magnesium Orange and Strawberries for VIT C NUTS for Zinc Had no VIT D YET After doing the rapid test at home- I got a sore throat- I sucked on those sore throat sweets from Lidl. They work like a GEM. I'm recovering through the Grace Of God. Was allot better than other people. Greatful to survive it and appreciate LIFE- appreciate and Greatful to be alive.

I was 3% away from dying because 97% of my throat was blocked by the virus every night for 3 nights it kept getting worse if it had continued the 4th day, I would have died but Luckly it decreased now I am just at a loss of taste and smell other than that I am good now.

This video gives such detailed explanations and really good advice. Thank you for this. As someone else in the chat already mentioned, we take swallowing for granted until we are suddenly struck by illness. Lemon, honey, turmeric and ginger are all so important for maintaining good heath even on a regular daily basis.

Wedge pillow is also great for congestion at night. It has a gradual incline and has been great for me. Also helps with vertigo if laying flat is a trigger. God bless everyone with good health

It was a really nice video. I am Dr Kanchan from BIBO. I would like to add a few more points to the list. Studies have shown that drinking a mixture of lemon and honey may show a better antibacterial effect than many of the standard antibiotics used. Essential oils: adding a few drops of essential oils to a steam inhaler or diffuser may help to reduce the inflammation and pain in the throat. Few commonly used essential oils for sore throat and other respiratory problems include peppermint oil, thyme oil, eucalyptus oil, lavender oil, pine oil, rosemary oil, tea tree oil, etc. Give rest to your throat.

Yesterday my chest was hurting , new I was getting a cold... last night it got to the point I had to sit up sleeping . None stop runny nose and my throat was bad . I took 1 vitamin c 500mg crunched it up to liquid and swallowed it but not all the way, left it in my throat for bout 20 or 30 seconds. Within 1 hour my nose stopped running and my throat stopped hurting! Helped me so passing it on 🙏

I couldn't sleep last night coz everytime I tried to swallow my saliva I got a feeling like a knife is in my throat. So I layed down a way that my saliva was going to my front teeth and not to the throat. This way I didn't have to swallow and I had a really good sleep. Hopefully it helped

What works better than salt water is Italian Salad Dressing! I had a very bad sore throat and as many others did, I used salt water, But I really couldn't gargle it for some reason. After trying for several days and barely eating, I was craving a salad of tomatoes, cucumber and onions drenched in Italian salad dressing. This seemed to really help, and I believe it's because of the oil sticking to my throat, which helps sooth a very dry sore throat. In case anyone is wondering what brand of Italian Dressing I used, it's Ken's. Unlike the warm salt water, try Italian Dressing instead. Make a salad or have a little cup of Italian Dressing to drink. My belief is it works better the salt water because it sticks to your throat to coat it, where the salt water will wear off in a couple of seconds. Italian Dressing, who knew? And it tastes better, too!

Turmeric, honey, eucalyptus. They work when the infection is mild. In Kerala we sip black pepper n dry ginger water. But when the infection is severe non of them work. You need to depend on the antibiotics

The only thing that has helped me is to rest my voice, take regular iboprofen, throat sweets, honey and lemon and ice cream to soothe it! I had a really sore throat after a stomach bug that caused my throat to strain as I was being sick so much.
