There is a certain loneliness surrounding the characters of L and Light which connects them in some ways.

I feel like we love light very much. Is because he pushed forward even tho he knew the risks and consequences, but he knew we all too scared behind our masks and afraid to defend ourselves, so light stepped from behind the curtains and took all the suffering in his hands and did things we aren't capable of doing

How bad that life must have been for Light, to be constantly alert, the only important thing was him and his ideal, surrounded by people who only see them as tools he can use, surely in his last moments he must have felt a great loneliness

oh god i found it. For me, this instrumental is very important and I was very upset when someone deleted it half a year ago

The corrupting nature of power and how it can change the most noble of people into something dark and dangerous. Light symbolizes this understanding and the knowledge that even with the best of intentions, corruption and power can change anyone into something they never thought possible.

Death note is my first anime and it was such a great anime to start the journey! What an amazing decision to start the anime with this anime ♥️

You know some people say it’s wrong to kill but, light showed that the endless battle between good and evil can be stopped no one else has to die. in the endless battle innocent people die but, if you kill the bad their is true peace no more fighting, war, and death Food for thought

The second half of an anime lost it`s way, but the ending... I will remember those scenes as non repeatable for years

this always hits me with some kind of nostalgia, loneliness. i cannot say the death note was the best anime serious, but can proudly say that it's one of the best mangas to ever exist. the plot of the manga, the characters, the atmosphere of a true crime case. no doubts - light is one of the loneliness person i've seen in the anime. it's true that he put himself in this situation but with the potential and this mindset he could have won this battle against the world. the only thing was that kira took over light's mind and ruined everything - selfishness, higher ego the hunger for "justice" even tho he didn't know what the word "justice" means. To add one more thing - Light is not the bad guy, kira is.

It's strange, when I hear this... It's like when a demon feels all its anger, sadness and emptiness. All this in a setting full of peace.

This was on hell of an anime, just saw it last year, it Was amazing

This is not a meditation OST it's the death OST that plays at the end of the series I believe it's called Death image, a weird feeling I get when listening to a longer version of this., that even when Light was seen as Evil or as a Savior for some, at the end both him and the greatest Detective ever die, L's image comes up to Light as he takes his last breath just as light did to him L technically caught him in a way or another but at what cost? Truly one of the Greatest series ever..

The ending of death note still haunts me to this day 😭😭

Greatest character in all of fiction

idk if everyone already knew this information and im really slow and the only person who didn't know but i think the reason light's name is light is because light considers the world a 'dark place' full of criminals. light doesn't like this dark place and wants it to be the exact opposite by ridding criminals and being a savior. basically light is the exact opposite of dark and light wanted the exact opposite of this dark place hence his name. (if that makes sense)

Light reminds me of Walter white so much. They both tried their best to help everyone around them, but both ended broken.

I love Death note so much, it's a real masterpiece you can't denied it.

Seeing Light and listening to this is just makes me sad knowing that Light is dead, he was such good character

Death note was my first anime. It might still be my favorite. I have watched it about 3 or 4 times and read the manga twice. Personally I like the manga more, I think this story reads very well and the manga has slightly more material. But the anime soundtrack is awesome. Amazing video, this track is so simple yet so powerful.

it doesnt matter however more intelligent you are compared to someone else, how perfect you are, if youre still consumed by these primal desires to become a "god" and superior in some sense. its meaningless until you realise you yourself are true peace already, you just have to see it. Nothing exterior in life, nothing, will get you that perfection or ideal life youre looking for, however successful you get, however more money you make, its meaningless until you know how to live in the here and now, because the greatest satisfaction and peace you can achieve, ever, is right now, within yourself. there are people that out of necessity and desperation go out to become "successful" end up suicidal and lonely, then kill themselves. and there are people that realise that and go on to become successful, but know how to live in the present with yourself, cuz they know nothing exterior and worldly is bigger than you yourself.

honestly.. i support light's idea and beliefs.. i think that eliminating all criminals from the board would decrease the crime rate in any country, the only issue is of course that people would have to die and they're still human. And even if you do get rid of them, the number will eventually increase again since the world population rises exponentially every second...

What did I do for this to end up in my recommendations

I wish they would've or would make some type of part two for death note but all stories don't have a happy ending, just like how our world gets worse and hope gets destroyed like Light.

Death Note is so very interesting. Is it a tale of good and evil? Or about where we place the moral lines? Or maybe about whether our actions make sense? At first glance we have Light and L - evil and good (or maybe good and evil?), but when we start to think about it we see a mass of similarities between the two. Fact, intelligence, but also good condition, isolation from humans and.... Questionable methods. L put Lind L Tailor on blast and Kira did what he thought was right. Kira is obvious, but L who was a genius and so took only matters that personally interested him, so deep down he was selfish, as some also say about Light. On the other hand, we follow the actions of a mass of characters and each sees the good from his own perspective. Sochiro didn't kill Mello even though he could have done it in seconds. Matsuda despite his partial support for Kira never betrayed anyone. Matt died for Mello. Near and Mello strived to the end to be better than L. L never doubted his mind. Light to the end wanted all bad people to die. No one crossed their moral line. But do our actions make sense? After all, despite L's efforts, Kira continued to kill, and after Kira's death everything went back to the old ways. But even after many years, the Shinigami continue to entertain themselves by giving people the Death Note, and who knows? Maybe one day they will come across Kira's successor? And so the wheel turns. "A god of death can extend their own life by putting a name on their own note, but humans cannot." Are you a hero? Shinigami must kill. You do it because you want to. But L was ready to test the strength of the notebook. All humans will, without exception, eventually die. Once dead, they can never come back to life. After they die, the place they go is MU.
