Extract from the sixth talk in Ojai, 1980.

This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

Only a silent mind where your 'me' has dropped can feel the universal energy..This cannot happen by practicing.I have been doing this for 30 years with no result.Only when you understand the futility of thoughts, only when the me drops ,when you understand you are carrying unnecessary luggage you drop it and that takes no time, only an insight, not long years of practice.Only a master like J Krishnamurti can make u understand that .All u need is listen to him with all your attention, with full awareness and you get the key

I would say, only you can make yourself understand. Only I can make myself understand. The role of the teacher is to point in the right direction for us to look and avoid unnecessary struggles along the way. What’s the point with all these tedious hours of practice that we put into our efforts to reach somewhere? Can’t we just get this information of effortless being once and then jump right into the final stages of awakening right away? Well, no-one is stopping us from trying. But do we really believe in it ourselves? Do we really see it as that simple? Have we really reached the point where we confidently can abandon the motto “no pain, no gain”? Many spiritual traditions recognize this dilemma that we have put ourselves in. It is for that reason these traditions provide a whole array of gradual approaches that aim at gradual deconstruction of our stubbornness of holding on to the perceived realness of life and reality. Finally, when our diligent efforts have brought us to a state of breakthrough we are ready to actually take the plunge. Our previous practices have finally convinced us of the illusory nature of reality and that hope and fear is what have always been standing in the way between us and reality itself. At that point we are ready. At that point we have nothing more to loose. At that point our practice have effectively destroyed all our hopes, piece by piece, until we are utterly groundless. Now we are finally ready to just relax and be present in the moment without the slightest inclination of ever “move” again. By the way, the formation of karma is said to arise out of that first inclination of “movement” in the mind. That movement happens due to the basic ignorance of ones true nature and all grosser forms of creations and clinging arise out of that first movement. The nature of the Buddha is said to be the primordial mind completely free of movement. This is not a state produced by a tremendous amount of control or practice. This is said to be the primordial nature of our mind when it is left in its own true nature completely free of any fixation and ignorance. To reach the state of a Buddha is to have completed ones natural potential and it is what’s left when all complications of a neurotic mind of clinging is absent. That’s why it is often referred to as the ultimate liberation. An enormous burden have been removed and we are utterly free. The truth is that we are never separated from that primordial nature but we are constantly holding ourselves back by not believing in our true nature and therefor choosing to live by other neurotic ways instead. The mind of a Buddha is a mind of utter simplicity and yet completely suffused in primordial wisdom. The mind of a neurotic sentient being is a very complex mind completely drenched in ignorance. And yet, everyone got the same potential to go from a neurotic state to a state of complete liberation. The right approach is to start where we are right now. In very practical ways start working with our own mind. Right in the middle of the life we are living, here and now. Everything in our lives can become seeds of new insights if we learn how to process experiences in constructive ways. Jumping the gun, thinking that we can read some philosophy and skip a few grades will only make us regress on the path instead of helping us understand the fundamentals of our existence. It is only through direct experiences our inherent wisdom is rekindled. Our lives are so full of material for the wisdom to awaken from. All we have to do is to learn how to kindle that wisdom out of our every-day-experiences. That process grows out of our ability for diligent practice, discipline, conduct, introspection, concentration etc.

Not sure , but what K is saying is basically very advanced level which is not comprehensible by general masses. The understanding he is talking about will only come if one practices the methods and after sometime the realisation should be that you are your own guru. However k is imposing that practice makes the mind dull. Who said so and why one should believe. K is condemning someone else. Not sure if thats alright. Whatever k is saying is correct only when one reaches a certain level. Practice is needed in all aspects of life to get better at something. Obviously one in the beginning needs to seek results. Else the mind will be like what it is wandering always. Accidental realisation happens seldom.

Here I find similarities between K and Jesus Christ announcement, which replaced the believe in an external God (older looking gentleman up in the sky somewhere out there) by an understanding of life, not living life for that we know, education, jobs, family etc. but an understanding of life. For without that, living life is hardly worth living, without knowing who we really are, and those two among many others are directing us to it. I'm glad K set up a foundation for preservation of his teachings, Jesus didn't have that option so his teachings were hijacked and so badly twisted by the churches, for centuries upon centuries.
