Had the same issue with my 868Rw Guardian rollator. I contacted Medline customer service to file a complaint. They replied that the rollator was out of warranty. Other than the frame the rest of the parts are warranted for 6 months. I started researching bearings online on Amazon and EBay. There is no need to buy a whole new wheel assembly. I found that the bearings used on the rollator are the same bearings used on skate boards. The bearing is a 608 zz bearing. The 608 zz has metal overs over the bearings. The 608 2Rs , is the same size bearing but has rubber caps to protect the bearings. They sell online for around $3.50 each. I sent customer service an email requesting the email address of the Medline CEO, Charles Mills. I received an email from Medline that they will replace the wheel!😀

Same thing happened to the front right swivel wheel on my Medline rollator. Had only received that one 5 months earlier. Only found out when we lifted the rollator and the entire swivel device fell right out of the metal frame. The frame was stripped internally and unable to be fixed at all. *THANKFULLY* someone was able to lend me the money to buy a new one that same day (I'm unable to stand unassisted and require a wheelchair that insurance takes forever to get). The one we bought just last month was by McKesson. Turns out the ball bearings also failed on a front swivel wheel just 28 days after purchase. The medical supply took it apart and it literally broke into many pieces.

Hi- I purchased a Medline "Guardian" rollator less than a year ago for my mother, and now the rear wheel fell off last month while she was using it. My mom has been mostly confined to her assisted living apartment since March. The rollator has seen very little usage. My mother is of slight build, so the rollator has not been abused or over stressed in any way. From photos sent me by the facility staff, there appears to be a series of washers (?) or metal rings around the axle where the wheel hub goes over. The bearings appear to be intact. I can't figure out what these rings are for other than to hub centered on the axle. Any thoughts? Have you encountered this on your rollator. Thanks!

I have a problem with my Front wheels I will call the ones without the brakes were the bolt keeps coming loose and falling down and scraping against the tire. I have repeatedly twice now and I just tighten it myself so that’s a total of three times had to have my brother tighten it and it keeps coming back loose. My rear tires also have rubbed on the inside, so they’re on even where the break is and I don’t even hardly I rarely set the break on this thing

My bearings went over one winter. I only used it at the YMCA, salt and hair destroyed them. Entry way salt, hair from changing rooms. It is systemic. The bearings are not sealed. Please suggest what bearings to replace it with. I rig jobbed it once. But I need to replace them.

Bought one for my mom. Barely had it over a year. The bar that holds the seat snapped and my mother would have fallen had she not been screaming for help. She was in the bathroom and she could have hit her head or really hurt herself so I'm really angry about it.

Were you able to fix this? I am desperately trying to help a friend fix this same exact issue except their wheel completely fell off.

I had the same problem. My wheel fell off yesterday and I almost fell. I'm 72 and can't afford to fall and injure myself. I was going to try and fix the wheel myself but have no idea how even after watching this video. I called a medical supply place yesterday and they want $125 to come out and do it. I don't have that kind of money being on Social Security. Not sure what I'm going to do at this point.

Wondering if you can help me. You seem to have some connections with Medline. I just bout an empower rollater Walker. Everything on it seems solid except the handlebars. They are very loose and don't seem to be safe considering that's where all the weight comes down on. I don't know if your interested in tackling this but I believe it would upset you if you saw it.

This is not alright... My mother uses a similar walker on occasion. I'll be checking it next time I see her.

I think I had two of those walkers and it was always the back wheels that gave me a problems them being wobbly not even a year yet. And I had to buy a new walker. No more Medline for me. I had my current walker 6 year and I use it everyday and just now the bearings are giving out. It's a Drive model

Their Quality Control Department, if they even have one, really needs to be revamped and new QC inspection points established.

9/30/20 rear wheel fell off Medline Guardian Roller walker - #MDS86850EGS - after 2yrs of use. Called Medline and they sell a set of two for $27+ $7 = $34 shipping. The problem is having to purchase a deep socket wrench to put the wheel back on which will up the whole replacement to over $50. Not worth it. The wheel came off the axel leaving the nut still in tact. What a mess this is.

Looks like they tried to save $ elsewhere (like the barrings) when they fixed the weak weld point....this stuff frustrates the heck out of me because it's all about the bottom line...

There appears to be an issue with more than one nut in this video....

608ZZ shielded 8x22x7 miniature ball bearing is a single-row bearing for supporting radial loads. The bearing is made of carbon steel for durability and resistance to deformity under heavy loads, and is shielded to keep lubricant in and contaminants out.

If they claim the units/parts are ISO... rated, someone needs to file a complaint. That could never happen at any places I worked at ISO certs.

My Dad has the same walker and the right wheel came off. I called the customer service department and spent 45 minutes with them on the phone to get replacement parts to reattach the wheel to only find out they don’t have the parts! I asked why and I was left without an explanation. They told me to buy a new one or go to a repair shop! Ridiculous!!!

Dude I do not think your socket demonstration is going to mean anything to them let's face it you could have took the cap off and you could have already loosen that screw but don't get me wrong I'm not saying you did that I'm just saying that loose screw does not help you in my opinion
