I just had this installed 6 weeks ago due to Charcot Marie Tooth Disease foot deformity.

I'm getting one next week to repair an ankle I destroyed almost two years ago. UPDATE 1: It's now been almost 9 months since I had my DynaNail installed. 6 weeks after surgery I transitioned to a boot, which I wore for a month. Then I went bootless and the first month or so was not very painful. Then the pain went through the roof and for a while I couldn't walk; I needed a scooter. After about 3 months of that the pain subsided and I thought I was home free. Then, just last week, the pain returned, albeit less severe. I'm disappointed with the result I got and can only hope that my condition will dramatically improve in the coming months. UPDATE 2: Almost 15 months since my DynaNail fusion and the severe pain when weight-bearing continues unabated. I met with a different surgeon to get his opinion. He recommended removing the DynaNail hardware and fusing the ankle using much less hardware. I plan to do this ASAP.
