Hello! Thanks for watching and commenting. I have followed Lindsay for years & have seen her review. My experience with these paints is reflected accurately in this video. I am aware that she was not as pleased with them as I was; I did not have the streaking issue she experienced. I have used the paints on many different papers and stand by my opinions as expressed in this video. For beginners, the Meeden 100% cotton paper is very affordable and I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately I have not tried it yet-darn! Sorry about that. I bet you can find some reviews on KZfaq. If not, I really like the Art Philosophy as a good place to start with gouache. ❤️🤠

I couldn’t seem to find any video reviews of the Meeden gouache 😔 I would love to see your review and use of them, as well as the review and use of them by some of the other KZfaqrs that are more “gouache focused”. I’m glad you asked! They definitely aren’t professional brushes but I do like them much more than I thought I would. I’m continuing to use them-the handle doesn’t feel like real wood & they are very light. On some, the ferrules don’t look perfectly straight but they are all attached securely. The filaments all have an excellent point and the way they hold water makes it easy to control. They aren’t thirsty. I will keep using them-they are on sale right now $17.95 for 10 brushes. I think they are definitely worth that price (even their regular price of $19.95). I hope that’s helpful to you-definitely an 8.5/10 for brushes in this class. For under $2 per brush, they are a very nice set.

Thanks for the review of these. I wonder if they carry hotpress in this package instead of coldpress. Love that double cup rinse too. I like granulation in my painting a lot so always interested in that as well. Thanks Ann!!

@@christinewhitacre9287 hi Chris! They do carry a 100% cotton hot press paper! Go to their site through the link in the video description & search watercolor paper. You’ll see a green one and the one I featured in. This video. Click on the green one & then select hot press as an option. (The hot press is orange.) I’ve used that paper in the past and truly love it!
