i felt bad for meer being used like that and being so naive however had she gone with athrun and learned the truth from Lacus herself they could have been great friends and at the live feed lacus could have claimed meer was pretending to be her at lacus' own request due to the assassination attempt at the beginning of the show (destiny), the biggest problem i personally have with her is that she dresses to drastically for meer to have pulled off a good version of lacus, i was fine with the main dress she wore until i saw what happened when she twirled on stage and made the skirt flare out to show the lower part of her body and the photo opp where she wore sexy clothes and the boob bounce in the song in this quiet night and lacus' soft songs don't sound right as a more peppy loud version but overall without knowing it she was helping and she didn't have to die could easily have been saved

Chantel Strand only does her speaking voice, Jillian Micheals is her singing so I don't know which one you like. I like both the songs in Eng & Jpn but Rie Tanaka pwns the others..shes had actual voice training and such.

What I don't get is this. Lacus is a celebrity. Everyone knows her face. How did Lacus did not know up until Meer made the mistake of doing live proclamation propaganda, there was a doppelganger doing concerts in her name? Judging from her reaction, Lacus didn't know. overly literal translations usually result in confusing dubs. Besides some words aren't interchangable in English and Japanese. Hell some don't outright exist and the studio improvises something.
