De mobiliteitstransitie is in volle gang, met steeds strengere maatregelen om de mobiliteit in de stad te beperken. Tegelijkertijd worden auto's steeds groter en zwaarder. Daarom zet de HAN University of Applied Scienes zich in voor slimme en schone mobiliteit.
Een van de maatschappelijke onderwerpen daarin is duurzame logistiek. Via een gloednieuwe Microlino zal de logistieke inzet van elektrische microcars als innovatief en duurzaam vervoersmiddel worden onderzocht.
Marco Wolf, projectmanager Health City Lab, verbonden aan het Lectoraat Logistiek en Allianties van de HAN werkt samen met Pieter Dekker, projectmanager bij het LEV Kenniscentrum van het Lectoraat HAN Automotive Research, om de potentie van microcars te bestuderen voor het stedelijk logistieke proces van de toekomst. Inzet hierbij is de nieuwe Microlino; een kleine elektrische auto met een retrodesign, gebaseerd op de BMW Isetta uit 1955. Deze miniauto is op vrijdag 28 juni 2024 afgeleverd bij de HAN als onderzoeksonderwerp, door middel van een feestelijke sleuteloverdracht.
Met een lengte van 2,5 meter, breedte van 1,5 meter en gewicht van circa 500 kilogram verwachten onderzoekers dat de Microlino een ideale oplossing kan zijn voor stedelijke logistiek. De miniauto kan bijvoorbeeld worden ingezet voor het bezoeken van bedrijven, het uitvoeren van studentopdrachten in de stad en verschillende andere logistieke doeleinden.

More micromobility at HAN due to arrival of Microlino
The mobility transition is in full swing, with increasingly stringent measures to limit urban mobility. At the same time, cars are getting bigger and heavier. That is why HAN University of Applied Scienes is committed to smart and clean mobility.
One of the social topics in this is sustainable logistics. A brand-new Microlino will be used to investigate the logistical use of electric microcars as an innovative and sustainable means of transport.
Marco Wolf, project manager Health City Lab, affiliated with the HAN Department of Logistics and Alliances, is working together with Pieter Dekker, project manager at the LEV Knowledge Centre of the HAN Automotive Research Department, to study the potential of microcars for the urban logistics process of the future. At stake is the new Microlino; a small electric car with a retro design, based on the 1955 BMW Isetta. This mini car was delivered to the HAN as a research subject on Friday 28 June 2024, through a festive key handover.
With a length of 2.5 metres, width of 1.5 metres and weight of around 500 kilograms, researchers expect that the Microlino can be an ideal solution for urban logistics. For example, the mini car can be used for visiting companies, carrying out student assignments in the city and various other logistics purposes.
