Very true tho. I'm a agoraphobic... meaning I'm scared of going outside... so I envy people who can go outside freely!

@@PaulRichter75 There's a charm to wintery climates. I live and grew up in Montreal and have spent plenty of time further north in Quebec where winters get even more intense- not the same as Alaska and Yukon- but we get long proper winters, and I find myself craving fall and winter like halfway through the summer. Winter can get difficult, so it's a love/hate thing, but truly I find I get more depressed during a hot summer than a cold winter. Sure summer parties and stuff are energetic and full, but winter parties and winter comraderie is somehow more intimate and special IMO. Sunny winter days can be as uplifting and fun as a sunny summer day. Snowy december nights in the city can be absolutely magical (walking through a blanket of snow with all the lights of the big city sometimes feels surreal) - and winter in the vast nature of Alaska and much of Canada is awe inspiring. A sunny winter day on praries of snow can be super super bright too, the sun reflecting back at you from the ground. You get tons of vitamin D, and as long as you dress properly you can spend hours outside. Not to mention all the winter activities... Winters in the north can also be harsh and relentless, but what's better than escaping into a warm welcoming home after building character out in a murderous snowstorm? There isn't a better night's sleep than when there's a snowstorm outside all night and you're holed up in the warm embrace of home. You just need good jackets, good boots, long johns, gloves good hats - the works - and even the outdoors in -25 degrees or colder can be tolerable. Granted -30 when it's overcast and windy is hellish and it can feel like mother nature is trying to kill you nonstop, but you sure as shit appreciate the buildings you're in more.
