Meet My 8 Week Old Miniature Dachshund

During lockdown in Melbourne, Australia my boyfriend gave me the best surprise I could of asked for and got me a puppy. A new addition to the family, he is a little boy we named Remi and is an 8 week old miniature dachshund.

Dachshunds are notoriously stubborn when it comes to training but they're so loyal and full of personality that they're an absolute joy to own. I have a dachshund and got him when he was this little. I love him to pieces.

Remember, there are no “bad dogs” and “Remi” should always sound like music to his little ears....never use his name harshly or in anger.

Precious little baby... Mia and Remi remind me of my little red tweenie and his black-tan dapple mini brother with how she looks after him; he used to let his brother practically suck on his ears and neck, and was always so gentle with him. They also had a big brother who was a foundling. Now it's just our little dapple left. 😔

What a beautiful surprise Remi is! Utterly adorable, and he's a good companion and playmate for his sister. That these two lovely pup's have each other will hugely improve the quality of their lives and of their human parents too.

Beautiful. I saw a lady on the beach walk. She had three caramel-coloured puppies on a lead and a baby one in her arms. Love. From a rather hot Spain

That's incredible, I mean June of 2020 was a month that was part of the pandemic year, 2020. And I can't believe that someone would show up to your house, during quarantine, but fairly, and only enough to give you a life changing experience, like that miniature dachshund, and something you got to enjoy while that was the year the world was put on hold. Man! I wish I had your taste!

Lil yappy, but I had mine 16yrs.. I have no kids, but she was around all sizes of kids. And lots of people around. Treat them right and they're the bestest pups in the world! Beautiful dogs

We also had a red "Polly" and a black and tan "Little Joe". They had one litter. Seven pups, six girls and one boy. We kept him and named him "Little Joe's Moose". We called him Mo Mo. He outgrew his dad by several inches, which caused people to think he was the dad and Little Joe his puppy. We had many happy years with the three ❤ Get ready for a lot of joy!

He is a beautiful guy Mia will teach him well I have 2 dashshund same color as your s my blk and is older 3yrs. and honey colored one is going on 2 hrs and both girls they just love each other and play and sleep together all the time, I just love dashshund s , good luck with your Dixie fam enjoy them,

Remi is precious! She reminds me of my Bella. She was a miniature too. I have missed her a lot over the past three years. Dachshunds are so beautiful. I believe they are my favorite breed.

I'm a dachshund lover. Just lost my last one April 29. Stella was 3 months shy of her 17th birthday. She had a long spoiled life...as they all should. I miss her every day. Give your babies kisses everyday. They are both beautiful. Much love from Texas USA.

Liked and Sub'd ! I am considering getting a Mini Dachshund Puppy after I move and have had this on my mind non-stop ! I am anxious, nervous and giddy a bit. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with both of Your little sweethearts and I am just bursting with tears of happiness right now !

My daughter bought one at 11 weeks old two weeks ago, exactly the same as this one, very cute but they are expensive to buy from a reputable breeder, she paid $4,000 for it. Had to prove we could take care of it and our home was safe and comfortable before they sold it. Now 13 weeks old, can be called to come and sit already. Here in South Australia, backyard dog breeders are less common and now the price of dogs have gone through the roof.

OMG, I’m so jealous. I used to have one just like him, we almost named him Remy. He had an older brother like your red one, Mia. I couldn’t give him a pig’s ear, he’d turn into a beast if we just walked by when he had it, lol. He’s sooooo beautiful!!!

Love love love!Just a heads up, if you don’t know about fenestration, it’s a good thing to know about. It really comes down to saving your babies from back injuries that compromise the freedom and mobility. I’m so jealous of you! And your taste in music is beyond reproach!

You should follow Loulou & Friends, this woman in the Netherlands feeds her dog the best food. Loulou and daughter Coco are the healthiest looking dogs I have ever seen.

Beautiful dachshunds. We have them, too. We were told not to give them rawhide chew treats as they are too difficult to digest.

What a sweet baby. Congratulations. Please take note that I have had many dachshunds and the Pig Ears are not good for them. I was giving them to my last little group of dachshunds and the Vet said they were not good for them at all. To much grease among other bad things. Smart Bones are Vet approved and are ok.

Love them. Had two. One like the black and tan, Buster. My first dog ever! He lived 18 yrs! Crystal was dapple long hair lived 16 yrs. Now have McKenna she is Doxie/MinPin is 3 yes old. She is rescued got her at 1 yr. Old.
