9-year-old Teddy loves having fun with his friends, playing video games and baking. Teddy was born with cerebral palsy, has epilepsy and is autistic. He can’t see very well which means he uses a big font size to read and needs a bit of help to avoid bumping into things. He also uses a wheelchair. As a result, he often felt frustrated and as if he didn’t fit in with other children.
Last year, Teddy started going to drama and music sessions run for visually-impaired children by North East Sight Matters, and funded by Comic Relief.
Although he was nervous at first, being part of the group has helped Teddy to grow in confidence and find his voice.Watch our short film made especially for secondary schools to learn more about how your fundraising can help projects like this.
