Now, we could argue about the morals of that for ages, but it clearly was not nearly as cruel or oppressive as what we now know as slavery. For example, it was a pair of women who first discovered the empty tomb of Jesus. At the time, Jewish customs dictated that women were not reliable witnesses, yet God planned it so that they were the first witnesses rather than the men which not only gives a ring of authenticity, but also challenged the misogynistic custom. Also, the Bible clearly does not support homophobia. It is, in fact a sin, but to bully homosexuals, transgenders, etc. for their actions is just as bad if not worse because not only would we be hating when we should be loving, we would also be being immensely hypocritical, because in God's eyes, our sins are equal. The counter stops at one because we are either perfect or imperfect, and unless someone were perfect (news flash: there has only ever been one who has been or could be) they would have no right to needlessly shame them. And when it comes to the accusation of genocide, even I have trouble completely understanding that, but the peoples they conquered had all heard about what had happened to the Egyptians and from what we can tell, the societies that either left, or were peaceful towards the Israelites were not only spared, but were allowed to live among them and were specificaly provided for in case they came upon hardship. I completely get that you have moral hangups with Christianity but maybe you should actually read the Bible and research the context of what it says before you start railing an entire religion with ignorant half baked attacks.
