Hot showers are nice. Involuntary footbaths and slowly turning your campground into a muddy bog, not so. Not to mention running out of water. But you don’t have to accept that state of affairs. Time to put your foot down! On the ENSUITE Shower Base.

Can this be adapted into a regular RV shower? If I put the Joolca recirculating shower pan at the bottom of my RV shower floor, then somehow connect the filters and plumbing to my RV's water source?
@Joolca
@Joolca Жыл бұрын
Hey there, I think that can work. Will your RV fit the shower base? Here are the dimensions: 86 D x 91 W x 9 H CM (34 x 36 x 3.5 inch) 🙂

Interesting it has a 150kg rating, but the 40kg girl is putting quite a bit of flex in the floor.
@Joolca
@Joolca Жыл бұрын
The slats are designed to flex a bit in the middle, this is because the central arm sits a few mm lower than the bottom of the slats. With weight applied the slats flex and rest on a support arm. This was done so that on slightly uneven ground there would be no risk that the slats 'see-saw' about the central arm, which is less ideal.

If you want to recirculate the same water, how do you start your shower? Do you fill the floor up with 1.3 gallons and go from there? Or is there a primary source of water that switches at some point to recirculate?

Hello! You need to fill the base first with at least 1.3 gallons of water (the capture tarp has a capacity of up to 6.6 gallons) and connect the pump hose through the quick-connect fittings at the side of the base. 🙂

How does the hot water system go recycling hot water. Ive tried this with another unit with a evershower unit which recycles water as well but the hot water unit wouldnt cope and would keep cutting out all the time. Over heat kept coming up

I would like this question answered also because i have hesitated buying a unit because I can't take a shower longer then a few minutes.If I can shower quickly then rinse off drain it then use a gallon of freshwater to hang out longer that would be awesome.
@Joolca
@Joolca Жыл бұрын
Hey Jeremy, recirculating water is recommended if the water is not hot enough. The HOTTAP has a safety cutoff 50C to prevent scalding, so if the water is already reaching that, it will automatically turn off the ignition but will continue to pump water. 🙂
@Joolca
@Joolca Жыл бұрын
Hey Allen, I understand what you mean. The maximum increase the in the incoming water is around 30-35C. This is when set to high gas and low flow. At low gas and high flow, you can get around 20C. You can change the settings to achieve your ideal temperature. 🙂

But would'nt that be recirculation dirty water back onto the body? Or did Joolca add a water filtration device ?
@Joolca
@Joolca 7 ай бұрын
Good question, some customers have limited water supply so the next option is to reuse grey water. Our pump comes with a two-stage end filter that keeps debris out. However, it's not as effective as a proper filter. 🙂
@_Spacecraft
@_Spacecraft Ай бұрын
I run my water through the joolca 2 stage filter as well as a proper water filter. It doesn’t get the soap out, but the water is considerably cleaner. Means you can take long showers in fairly clean soapy water, drain it out and rinse with clean water letting it drain and not recirculate. When you’re out camping, showering with grey water is better than no shower at all 😄

Agreed on circulating your own bodies dander, waste and soap is definitely not ideal. However, the platform itself is perfect for not standing in sandy water and keeping your feet clean so for that, I would use it with the option of just freshwater.

@@Captndarty Well, the pump does have the two stage filter. Would probably get out most of the nasty from our bodies, but I suppose you could always throw an inline filter in between the pump and the hottap. Don't know how most inline filters cope with hot water though, and might restrict water flow too much.

I agree that Joolca is the leading shower on the market. And I have one. However, this is pointless. more crap to pack away. I have a bamboo floor from the reject shop for $10. just enough for me to stand on. Less fuss and easy to store away.
