This film follows a historical account of the origin of the Mambilla People in present-day Taraba State, Nigeria, and their migration from Central Africa around 3000 BC, eventually settling in a place called Kimi in Southern Cameroon.
After many years of habitation in Kimi, Cameroon, there was another wave of migration as a result of political and economic factors, bringing the Mambilla People to their present home, known today as the Mambilla Plateau in Taraba State Nigeria.
This film attempts to bring to light the long history of the Mambilla ethnic group, taking into account the people's political, economic, social, and cultural life.

wow please do you know about the Kabum people? i m from Southern Cameroons just accross river Donga, there is lot of stories of how some of our ancestors immigrated to Nigeria but we hardly get to here or see them. Thanks to internet, the food culture even languages are similar. The Chief talks of originating from around Central Africa and settling in Kimi then Gembu same story holds to those who live across in Cameroon. I futher found that the origin is from around the border between egypt and sudan which makes sense because in those days there African civilization concentrated in that area, Arab slave trade might have been the major cause of them immigrating deep into the hinterlands to live in peace.

Isn't that place the coldest place in Nigeria?. They drink alcohol (palm wine), do the locals intermarried irrespective of religion. I hope their beautiful land is not targeted for take over by the fulanis. With this kind of people in the north together with the Jukums, Tivs, Idomas, Lantangs, Birums, and Ngas then maybe there is still some hope for one Nigeria. Do temperate plants like Strawberry, Apple and tea grow there?. And thanks very much for educating some of us from the south about the country

Yes. It is one of the coldest regions in Nigeria. They also inter marry a lot. Even into neighboring Cameroon. Tea and Apples grow here as well. If you look down into my channel, you will find more videos about the above and other interesting finds about this region of Nigeria: Such as: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jdZgeaml2buVlYE.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eKxdma2etq7dpGw.html Thanks for watching.
