Meet the new Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 Part 1

So after a long time (started March 2020 just as Covid-19 kicked in) the Land Rover Discovery 2 is nearly completed.
I say nearly as there are a few small things that need adjusting or improving on and that will be getting done soon.
We’ve been out with it now on and off road, getting some miles on it and generally just enjoying what a fantastic vehicle it is.
We will do another full video on the vehicle in the coming months with all the details so if you have any questions or want to see something specific then ask away in the comments.

He's a perfectionist, but the cruise control dash switch is the wrong colour? Is nice though, might do a similar bed liner colour on my grey D2.

Hi great video i just brought a 2002 landrover discovery td5 with a crook auto gearbox the owner took it to a gearbox place they said the the trigger wheel sensor was off center trigger wheel was found to be very loose and can move back and fourth 10mm would that cause it to only have first gear and reverse ive been told its a common problem the bolt comes loose

I’m not sure on that, I’ve never owned an automatic D2 before. Have you tried the many Discovery 2 forums on Facebook like Discovery 2 owners or Td5Mafia? Someone there will definitely be able to help you with that.

That’s beautiful 🤩 Am looking to buy a disco 2 For use of on road and off road not heavy off road light stuff. What would guys recommend manual or auto help in suggestions would be appreciated?

We always prefer a manual off road as the XYZ switch on an auto can be troublesome, especially with water. If you want a clean D2 with a solid chassis then get in touch with Neil at Ice 4x4. They are the company that built this one and they do any D2 to any budget. They can prepare a Discovery for just on road or a complete off road, quality work too. Take a look at www.ice4x4.co.uk Hope this helps, let us know what you are planning too, we are always interested in other peoples builds or 4x4’s.

The car is painted with tintable Raptor with the original grey paint colour added. The car has a more Matt finish

Hello mate. I have the same wheel arches and wheels with 265/75/16 and I need a lot of trimming. I have a 2" lift. Any suggestions?

The Green Discovery two had them tyres on without a lift. All we had to do was trim the rock sliders slightly. Now the two Discovery 2’s have a 2” body and 2” suspension lift

The tint colour is Land Rover Bonatti Grey.

They are 285/75 R16 -25 Challenger wheels

Hi mate. Where did you get your wheel nuts from. If you know are they 14 x 1.5 and a hex size of 27mm?

We definitely will do another video when it’s completely finished, but I can tell you that the paint is Upol Raptor paint with a Bonatti Grey tint. Bonatti Grey was the original Land Rover colour

The CR turbo is from José at TD5 inside ( td5inside.pt) you best emailing him and the other parts of the car including the bumpers are built by Ice 4x4 (ice4x4.co.uk/) again you are best emailing them with your enquiry. Hope this helps you out!
